Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device used to control the white balance, by providing a reversible counter circuit that is controlled by the output of a circuit which discriminates an increase/decrease of gain for a gain control circuit and then controlling the gain with an analog output of the said circuit. CONSTITUTION:The gain control circuits 13a and 13b are provided to the red and blue signal systems, and a comparison is given through an increase/decrease discriminating circuits 15a and 15b between the outputs of the circuits 13a and 13b and the level of a green signal. The increase/decrease directions are decided for the reversible counter circuits 16a and 16b with these outputs of discrimination. The circuits 16a and 16b are driven by the clock pulse supplied from a pulse generating circuit 17. Then the outputs of circuits 16a and 16b receive a D/A conversion to be applied as the control signals of the circuits 13a and 13b.
