Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize signal reproduction and relaying by detecting the existence of an input signal by use of a limiter. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is supplied to discriminating-reproducing circuit 8 and timing circuit 9. In circuit 9, the input signal has timing information extracted 10 and then a timing component further extracted 11 and is supplied to limiter 12. Limiter 13, which should be low in gain, outputs a clock pulse only when the input signal exists. This output is supplied to limiter 14 and tuning amplifier 15 and the clock pulse amplified 15 is peak-detected 16 and supplied to gate 17. On the other hand, the clock pulse limited 14 is supplied to circuit 8, which discriminates and reproduces the input signal. This reproduced signal is outputted via gate 17.
