Abstract

PURPOSE:To monitor communication circuits differing in speed by using a common display device by varying the reception speed according to the communication rate of a start-stop communication circuit to be monitored. CONSTITUTION:Received data from communication circuits 21-23 differing in communication speed are applied to receiving circuits 28-33 via MODEMs 24-26, and respective receiving circuits 28-33 branch and input the received data to a circuit selecting circuit 34. To this selecting circuit 34, circuit selection switches 35-37 are connected and to those switches 35-37, a speed controlling circuit 38 is further connected. When one of the switches 35-37 is closed, transmitted and received data on desired communication circuits 21-23 is selected by the selecting circuit 34 to be outputted and a data selecting circuit 44 selects and applies the transmitted or received data to a display device 47. According to on-state and off- state of the switches 35-37, a speed controlling signal which corresponds to the reception speed of data from the circuit 38 is applied to the device to monitor the communication circuits 21-23 differing in communication rate.
