Abstract

PURPOSE:To give passengers effectively thermal sense in the initial period of air conditioning by providing an air blowout hole, equipped with a heater, in the neighborhood of steering device and by controlling electric supply of the heater and distribution of the air for air conditioning by means of the radiator's capacity and blowout air temperature. CONSTITUTION:Information from a room temp. sensor 21, outside air temp. sensor 22, temp. setting device 23, cooling water temp. sensor 26 and voltage sensor 27 is put into a computer 10, which is to perform an intended computing process. According to its result, necessity of electric supply to a heater 15, temperatures of the room and water are evaluated and, if judgement is such that no radiating effect can be expected from a radiator 5, a command is given out for setting a blower motor 3 at a low speed, applying the current to the heater 15, closing an upper blowout hole 1c, and opening a handle blowout hole 1e. Accordingly, the air stream is heated by the heater 15 and blown out of the blowout hole 1e toward passengers. In the case of cooling, a cold air is blown out likewise from the blowout hole 1e. Thus, passengers are in the initial period of air conditioning given an effective thermal sense.
