Abstract

PURPOSE: To purify kallikrein (K) in human urine effectively, by treating a K-containing solution with arginine-Sepharose.
CONSTITUTION: Human urine or a crude solution contaning kallikrein (K) is adjusted to pH7.0W9.0, and brought into contact with arginine-Sepharose (A) adjusted to the same pH, preferably about 8.0, to have K adsorbed on A specifically. The adsorbed K is then eluted with a buffer of pH7.0W9.0 containing 0.1W0.5mol of sodium chloride.
