Abstract
PURPOSE: To offer such air-conditioning that provides a high degree of comfortableness by a method wherein the surface temperature of the body of a person in a room is detected and used to control an air-conditioner.
CONSTITUTION: Infrared rays radiated from a person 8 in a room 4 are detected by a temperature detector 7, and the surface temperature of the body is thus discovered, then the detected results are sent to a controller 9. If the surface temperature of the body is 33°C or higher, the air cooling mechanism of an air conditioner is operated to lower a room temperature by cool air sent and at the same time suppress a rise in the surface temperature of the body. If, inversely, the surface temperature of the body is 32°C or lower, the air heating mechanism of the air-conditioner 5 is operated to raise the room temperature and at the same time suppress a fall in the surface temperature of the body.
