Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve comfortableness to the human body in case of air-conditioning, by effectively using radiant heat, in this air conditioner that combines radiation, natural convection and forced convection by means of a fan.
CONSTITUTION: A surface heating element 2 radiating heat by radiation and natural convection is mounted to the front of an air conditioner body 1, and a heat exchanger 3 radiating heat by forced convection and a fan 4 are installed to the inside. A sensor 6 of a thermistor detecting indoor temperature is disposed near a suction port 5 in the body, and the surface temperature of the surface heating element 2 can be set by means of a variable resistor 7. When the surface temperature of the surface heating element 2 is controlled by setting the variable resistor 7 to "Weak", the output of a comparator 14 brings a transistor 16 to ON when the voltage of measuring value is high to a set point, and a relay coil 20 is excited. Thus, a relay contact 23 is closed, load 24 is driven and forced convection radiation by means of the fan 4 and the heat exchanger 3 is performed.
