Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate occurrence of the phase error between the carrier chrominance signal and the index signal by giving the control to the oscillation frequency of the voltage control oscillator delivering the index signal via the output which gave the frequency discrimination to the carrier chrominance signal.
CONSTITUTION: Composite signal Sc formed with luminance signal Sy obtained from pickup tube 4, carrier chrominance signal Ss and burst signal Sb each is supplied to LPF12 for extraction of signal Sy and also supplied to HPF21 for extraction of signal Ss containing signal Sb. Signal Ss is supplied to synchronous detection circuit 22, and at the same time signal Sb is fetched via limiter 31 and burst gate 32 to lock the oscillation phase of voltage control oscillator 33. While signal Ss is supplied to frequency discrimination circuit 43 through delay circuit 41 and limiter 42, and output voltage Sf is supplied to LPF44 for extraction of low- band component Sd. The oscillation frequency of oscillator 33 is controlled by voltage Sf. Then index signal Si given from oscillator 33 is supplied to circuit 22 as the reference signal of the synchronous detection.
