Abstract

PURPOSE: To alternate in-use and stand-by systems easily and definitely by sectioning processing steps of a job by break points BP, and then by transfering the address of a memory and data on each reach to a break point BP to the memory of the stand-by system.
CONSTITUTION: In-use processor 11 sections the execution of a processing program into processing steps by preset BPs and at each BP, sddresses A1WAn of a process result and data D1WDn are transferred to stand-by processor 11'. Once processor 11 gets out of order, processor fault supervisory circuit 16 detects it and CPU12' is informed of it thorugh CPU12 and communication controller 14. Then, CPU12' can read the newest data in memory 13' from the restart address of the processing program equivalent to BP. In the simple constitution like this, a synchronization system can be obtained which performs switching among processors basing upon a complete parallel simultaneous operation system by a small-scale program.
