Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a resistor which is stable against high temperature and pressure during a step of fabricating a cathode ray tube and has accurate resistance value by forming a glass layer on the surface containing resistive substance and electrode of an insulating substrate and forming the resistive substance by RuO2- glass series.
CONSTITUTION: On an alumina substrate 15 are formed a resistor 17 containing RuO2-glass series material and electrodes 30aW30d. The resistor 17 is fabricated, for example, by adding additive such as Ti, Al2O3 or the like and RuO2 powder to a binder of boro-silicated glass, mixing an organic binder and a solvent such as BCA or the like therewith, printing agitated paste thereon and calcining it. Furhter, a glass layer 32 is provided on the surface containing electrodes and resistive substance of the substrate to thereby prevent the variation in the resistance value due to gas dissipation and spattering process. The glass layer 32 employs, for example, glass paste or the like prepared by mixing 10W40% of Al2O3 fine powder to boro- silicated glass.
