Abstract

PURPOSE: To compensate change of a relative permeability dependent upon temperature change of a drive axis to make it possible to measure the position of a control bar with a high precision, by providing a winding for temperature compensation on the drive axis of a magnetic material interlocked with the control bar.
CONSTITUTION: The inductive coupling rate of primary winding 2 and secondary winding 5 is changed by the insertion position of drive axis 1 between primary winding 2 and secondary winding 5, thereby generating an induced voltage corresponding to the insertion position of drive axis 1 in secondary winding 5. This induced voltage is subjected to full-wave rectification in 6 and is amplified in 9 after smoothing in 7 and 8. Control circuit 12 compares the induced voltage of temperature compensation winding 11 with reference voltage 13 and controls the gain of amplifier 9 by the output proportional to the difference between both voltages. Then, the gain of amplifier 9 is reduced and increased for temperature rise and temperature lowering of drive axis 1 respectively, thus outputting a voltage proportional to the position of drive axis 1 between coils 2 and 5 independently of temperature change of drive axis 1.
