Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of the appatatus by detecting the carrier input and providing the 1st squelch circuit controlling the rear step and the 2nd squelch circuit operating on the desired signals obtained by demodulation of the carrier wave in order to control the power circuit. CONSTITUTION:Reception part 2 detecting the object frequency carrier input, 1st squelch circuit 3 supplying power 9 to the next-step circuit via the output of part 2 and 2nd squelch circuit 4 operating on the desired signals demodulated through circuit 2 are provided to the receiver used for the portable communication equipment and the like. Function control circuit 7 which controls function circuit 8 using the output of part 2 as the input is connected to circuit 4. Furthermore, the output of circuit 4 is connected to switching circuit 6 via timer 5, and circuit 6 is controlled by the output of circuit 3 and 4. Thus, the power consumption can be reduced for power supply 9.
