Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an effective use of cooling capacity by providing a coolant temperature detector at a coolant inlet and a chilled water temperature detector at a cooler outlet; the both of them are connected to a temperature control which, based on the coolant inlet temperature, controls the chilled water outlet temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Temperature of a coolant being supplied to a cooler 2 is transmitted from a temperature detector 22 in the form of an identification signal to a temperature controller 24. Temperature of chilled water which is cooled in a cooler 11 is transmitted from a temperature detector 23 in the form of an identification signal in a chilled water supply piping 17 at an outlet of the cooler 11 to the controller 24 as well as to a compressor 1 which controls flow rate of a refrigerant to maintain desired temperature of the chilled water supply piping 17. By receiving the signal from the detector 22, the temperature controller 24 adjusts required temperature of the compressor 1. It also adjusts temperature setting of the chilled water in the piping. Thus with the possible adjustment of the temperature at the outlet of the chilled water piping 17 from the cooler 11, cooling capacity of a freezer can be improved.
