Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the treating ability of radioactive material containing solution, by means of separating Mo, and Zr along with Te by adding a Te compound to the nitric acid solution containing the radioactive material and Mo or Zr.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of Te (for example, telluric acd) is added to the nitric acid solution containing a radioactive material and Mo or Zr. This solution is boiled by heating. This heating operation is allowed the precipitation reaction of Mo, Zr and Te to be completed, and to enable the following operation of filtration of the produced precipitates easy. Mo and Zr are separated by means of separating the produced precipitate by filtering and centrifugal separating. If the solution containing a redioactive material may be treated by this, the removal rate from the solution of Mo etc. can be above 80%.
