Description

The present invention relates to a protection device for natural enemy insects. More specifically, although it is a simple device, it can provide an optimized habitat for natural enemy insects, which are natural enemies of pests, and in particular, based on the habits of prey mites that feed natural enemy insects. The present invention relates to a protection device for natural enemy insects capable of more effectively exterminating pests against plants, which can maintain the growth of prey mites for a long period of time and improve the settlement of natural enemy insects.

In recent years, IPM (Integrated Pest Management) centered on natural enemies has been attracting attention. IPM is a management method that uses polyphagous mites such as spider mites and thrips, which are pests to be controlled, as natural enemy insects, such as Miyako mites, Swarsky mites, and Kukumerisuka mites. On the other hand, natural enemy insects are known to proliferate when so-called prey mites, such as sugar mites and Sayaashinikku mites, are fed as alternative foods when the above-mentioned pests that serve as the original food are absent or in small numbers. ing. These prey mites are found as pests of preserved foods such as sugar, wheat flour, soybean flour, dried fruits or bonito, and can be propagated in large quantities. Therefore, in theory, it is possible to breed a large number of natural enemy insects by using prey mites. However, as mentioned above, prey mites are active in an environment with sugar, flour, etc., which is different from the environment on growing crops where pests are active, which is the original food of natural enemy insects. Even if these prey mites were applied to crops together with natural enemy mites for the purpose of pest control, they could not sufficiently support the activities of natural enemy insects.

In the above case, in order to maintain the population of natural enemy insects, a method of adding these prey mites to the crop has been considered, but it is complicated. In addition, additional frequency needs to be increased to combine with chemical pest control, which increases costs. In order to solve such a problem, a method has been considered in which both natural enemy insects and prey insects that feed on natural enemy insects are housed in one device, and this device is installed in a crop cultivation field.

Specifically, for example, it is composed of a moisturizer, water, a natural enemy insect, a prey insect that feeds the natural enemy insect, a medium for culturing a mold that feeds the prey insect, and a container that contains the spawning substrate of the natural enemy insect. A natural enemy insect breeding device has been proposed (see Patent Document 1).

However, according to the study by the present inventors, the device disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a complicated configuration, is not practically easy to use, and is a habitat for natural enemy insects (for a large scale). It was not always fully satisfactory in terms of (settlement). As a result of examining the cause in detail, the present inventors have obtained the following findings. Natural enemy insects also have that habit, but in particular, prey mites that feed on natural enemy insects have a habit of preferring narrow spaces, and the device disclosed in Patent Document 1 has, first of all, devised in this regard. It was not suitable as a habitat that allowed the growth of prey mites sustainably.

Further, in the apparatus disclosed in Patent Document 1, in order to maintain an appropriate humidity, when drying is continued, the humidity is maintained by appropriately supplementing water on the apparatus or from a water injection hole. Further, cotton pulp, sodium alginate, etc. are used as the moisturizer, but when water is added to these moisturizers, in any case, water droplets are present in the apparatus. On the other hand, in maintaining the growth of prey mites that feed on natural enemy insects, especially natural enemy insects, the presence of water droplets in their habitat must be avoided for the reasons described below. It was concluded that a device having a configuration as disclosed in Document 1 is particularly unsuitable for maintaining the growth of prey mites, and further studies are required to realize the settlement of natural enemy insects over a long period of time. It was. That is, for example, acarid mites such as sugar cane, Sayaashinikkudani, and Tyrophagus putrescentiae, which feed on natural enemy insects such as Kaburidani, prefer water and have a habit of gathering in that direction when there are water droplets. On the other hand, since these mites have an extremely small body length of 0.3 to 0.5 mm, they drown in water droplets and die, and in an environment where water droplets are present, the prey mites should be stably and reliably grown and maintained. I found that I couldn't.

In addition, in IPM (Integrated Pest Management) that uses natural enemy insects, it is necessary to install a large number of natural enemy insect protection devices in a large crop cultivation field, so the equipment used is inexpensive and in addition to being inexpensive. It is desirable that the load (labor) given to the operator is reduced as much as possible and the configuration achieves labor saving. From this point as well, if the natural enemy insects can be continuously and stably released from the device for a longer period of time after the device is installed, it will not be necessary to replace the device frequently, and the operator will replace the device. It is extremely useful because it saves a lot of labor and saves a lot of labor. This point is extremely important in practical use, and further improvement of the conventional device is required.

In view of the above-mentioned problems, an object of the present invention is a natural enemy capable of effectively protecting natural enemy insects and prey mites that feed on natural enemy insects from changes in the environment, even though the device has an extremely simple configuration. The purpose is to provide an insect protection device. More specifically, an object of the present invention is to provide an optimized habitat based on the habit of predatory mites, which are alternative baits for natural enemy insects, from the viewpoint of IPM (Comprehensive Pest Management), and its settlement. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to preferred embodiments. In contrast to the current state of the art described above, the present inventors have conducted a detailed study on the habits of prey mites that feed on natural enemy insects, and can propagate the prey mites reliably and stably over a longer period of time. If a simple device with an optimized habitat for prey mites can be completed, it will be possible to continuously release natural enemy insects that feed on prey mites from the device for a long period of time. Based on the recognition, we conducted a diligent study.

The present inventors have already used as a device for breeding natural enemy insects, which are natural enemies of pests, for agricultural use or for providing a feeding ground, spawning ground, and habitat for adults for breeding natural enemy insects for pest control. We have proposed a natural enemy insect protection device for horticulture, which has a simple housing structure made of a paper or plastic sheet base material containing natural enemy insects inside (Patent No. 5681334). Then, in the embodiment, the bag body, which is a storage part for natural enemy insects, is used to store food mites together with rice bran, wheat bran, etc. as food necessary for the growth of natural enemy insects. Although the present inventors have confirmed that the device proposed above can continuously release natural enemy insects and can exterminate pests more easily and effectively than the conventional device, it has a higher practical value as described above. In order to achieve the object of the present invention, it has been recognized that it is necessary to establish a technique capable of utilizing prey mites more positively and surely.

Based on the above recognition, the present inventors have made diligent studies to develop a more effective protection device for natural enemy insects than the device already proposed by the present inventors. In the process, the internal shape of the housing made of paper or plastic sheet base material was changed in various ways, and diligent studies were conducted to find the optimum habitat for the prey mites as well as the natural enemy insects. It was. As a result, it was found that acarid mites, which feed on natural enemy insects, have a habit of preferring a particularly narrow space. Therefore, the present inventors provided a closed space in the closed space formed inside the main body of the housing when arranging the storage portion in which the natural enemy insects and prey mites can enter and exit. As a result of studying by narrowing the distance between the inner surface of the main body and the outer surface of the accommodating portion, the narrowing is particularly good for the growth of prey mites. It has been found that it is maintained, which allows natural enemy pests to live in a confined space sustainably for a longer period of time.

And if there is a slight slit-shaped gap, natural enemy insects can easily enter and exit from the enclosed space and prey on pests on growing crops, resulting in continuous IPM in good condition. I confirmed that it would be done. More specifically, as the above-mentioned narrow space, it is narrow at least 3.0 mm or less, preferably 2.0 mm or less, and further 1.0 mm or less so that the prey Acaridae can feel a wall around them. It was found that it is desirable that spaced spaces exist in the habitat. For this reason, when a gap of more than 3.0 mm is formed inside the closed space with a housing portion in which natural enemy insects and prey mites can enter and exit are arranged inside the housing-shaped main body. Is preferably configured by further arranging a filling member for filling this gap. In this way, the habitat area of the natural enemy insects and the prey mites can be provided with more portions having an interval of 3.0 mm or less, so that the growth of the prey mites is particularly well maintained. As a result, the settlement of natural enemy insects can be further improved. Details on this point will be described later.

The present inventors considered that in addition to the above-mentioned physical habitat, temperature and humidity are also important factors, and conducted a detailed study on this point as well. It is known that it is desirable to maintain an appropriate humidity in order to improve the habitat of the natural enemy insect, Kaburidani. For example, in Patent Document 1 above, it is preferable to keep the humidity of the habitat of natural enemy insects at 55% or more by impregnating a moisturizer with water to keep the moisturizing state at all times. On the other hand, according to the examples of Patent Document 1, although it depends on the type of moisturizer used, even if sodium alginate, which has better humidity retention, is used, the humidity after one day is 99% RH. On the other hand, the humidity after 7 days decreased to 72% RH, and on the 14th day, it decreased to 51%. On the other hand, in the technique of Patent Document 1, as a countermeasure, water is injected into the moisturizer in the breeding apparatus at intervals of about one week.

However, according to the study by the present inventors, as described above, when a prey mite such as Acaridae, which is a prey for natural enemy insects, is present in the device environment described in Patent Document 1, water is preferred. From the habit, it was found that it is difficult to maintain stable growth of prey mites, especially because they collect in the injected water droplets and drown in the water and die. Further, the above technique forces the user to inject water into the moisturizer in the breeding device at intervals of about one week, and there is also a problem in terms of practical use. In addition, as a result of further examination, the humidity of acarid mites such as sugar cane mite, sycamore mite, and tyrophagus putrescentiae, which feed on natural enemy insects, is higher than that of natural enemy insects, specifically, the humidity is 70% or more, more preferably humidity. It has been found that a high humidity environment of 80% or more is particularly suitable as its habitat.

In response to the various findings described above, the present inventors have proposed a simple housing-like housing made of a paper or plastic sheet base material containing natural enemy insects inside. A more detailed study was conducted on the structure of the natural enemy insect protection device (hereinafter referred to as the conventional device). As a result, although the conventional device has a structure in which a relatively narrow space exists, it cannot be said that it is the optimum habitat especially for prey mites because it is not strongly conscious of this point. .. On the other hand, it was found that, basically, by adopting the configuration as shown in FIG. 1 described later, a narrow space preferred by the prey mites can be surely formed in the vicinity of the feeding ground of the prey mites. Specifically, the distance between the inner surface of the main body forming the closed space and the outer surface of the containing part in which natural enemy insects and prey mites can enter and exit is opposed to each other. It is extremely effective to maintain the growth of prey mites by having a portion having a portion of 3.0 mm or less, more preferably 2.0 mm or less. Further, as described above, for the purpose of providing more portions having an interval of 3.0 mm or less, a filling member for filling a gap of more than 3.0 mm formed inside the closed space of the main body is arranged. It is preferable to let it.

Furthermore, as a result of measuring the humidity in the conventional device proposed by the present inventors earlier, the present inventors stably maintained the humidity in the device at least 50% or more for at least one and a half months. I was sure that. On the other hand, in the conventional device, although the degree varies depending on the form, water intrusion into the device was not considered, so it was assumed that water was always sprinkled on the plant, and the conventional device was moved to. It was found that infiltration of water into the device was unavoidable when water was sprinkled strongly or from multiple directions. For this reason, it is important to maintain the environment inside the device in a state where the humidity is stably maintained higher than that of the conventional device, and to make the device so that water does not enter even if water is sprinkled. I was aware that.

For that purpose, it is necessary to have a small opening for natural enemy insects to enter and exit the device so that water does not enter the device when water is sprinkled or it rains. The enclosed space inhabited by the prey mites needs to be sealed so that water droplets do not enter from the outside as much as possible. Further, in addition to the above configuration, the humidity of the enclosed space inhabited by the natural enemy insects and their prey mites can be maintained at 70% or more, preferably 80% or more, and further 85% or more for at least 30 days. If it can be constructed, it will be possible to stably release natural enemy insects for a long period of time, and it will be a protection device for natural enemy insects with extremely high practical value. As a result of diligent studies on this point, the present inventors have obtained the above-mentioned humidity in the closed space by placing a slowly moisture-releasing water-retaining material in the closed space of the main body of the sealed structure as much as possible. It was found that the humidity can be maintained at a high humidity for 30 days or more.

As the slowly releasing moisture-retaining material, a highly water-absorbent resin developed for horticulture is preferably used. This highly water-absorbent resin can be used by a method convenient for the user, for example, inserting it into a closed space of the main body in a state of being impregnated with water. Despite such a simple usage method, the humidity in the closed space where the prey mites inhabit can be maintained in the above-mentioned appropriate state. The use of such a highly absorbent resin is one of the desirable embodiments in the present invention.

Further, in the present invention, in addition to the highly water-absorbent resin, one in which water or water is sealed with a moisture-permeable membrane that does not allow water to pass through but allows only water vapor to pass through can be effectively used. The term "moisture" as used herein refers to a substance having a structure capable of releasing water vapor through a moisture-permeable membrane, such as a water-absorbent resin containing water. As the water-absorbent material used at this time, a general-purpose water-absorbent resin, the highly water-absorbent resin developed for gardening mentioned above, and the like can be used. In addition to these, for example, natural products such as agar, mannan, agar, gelatin, and pectin, as well as gelling agents and thickeners made from these naturally derived products can also be used. That is, it is also possible to use a form in which water is impregnated and sealed in the moisture-permeable membrane as a sustained-release moisture-retaining material for placing the material in a closed space of the main body. The highly water-absorbent resin and moisture-permeable film developed for horticulture mentioned above release moisture in the state of water vapor after enclosing water or water, and even if prey mites that prefer water gather. It is also possible for prey mites to walk on the surface, never drowning and dying. The use of such a water-retaining material is one of the important factors in providing a habitat that enables sustainable growth of prey mites.

Typical examples of highly water-absorbent resins useful as a sustained-release water-retaining material include those made of crosslinked polyacrylates, which are also sold under names such as crystal soil. In the invention, such a product can be used. Specifically, commercially available products such as Aquapearl (trade name) and Sunwet (trade name) manufactured by Sanyo Chemical Industries, and Jewel Polymer (trade name) sold by Daiso Sangyo Co., Ltd. can be used. These highly water-absorbent resins expand 100 times or more when water is added, and while they can retain a large amount of water inside, they exhibit sustained moisture release properties. In the present invention, when a ball made of a highly water-absorbent resin is used, it is important to drain the water in a state of being expanded by adding water. The reason is that, as described above, when water droplets are present in a closed space, prey mites gather toward the water droplets and drown in the water droplets, so that the growth cannot be stably maintained. The ball made of highly water-absorbent resin can be inserted into the closed space of the main body as it is in a state of being expanded by adding water. Further, when a plurality of balls made of highly water-absorbent resin expanded by adding water are used, it is possible to insert them into the closed space of the main body in the form of enclosing them in a moisture-permeable bag or the like. ..

As described above, in the present invention, it is required to maintain the humidity in the closed space of the main body, for example, at 70% or more for 30 days. For this purpose, it is important that the water-retaining material arranged in the closed space of the main body continuously releases water vapor appropriately. Examples of the material of the highly water-absorbent resin (polymer compound) useful as a water-retaining material exhibiting such a function include those described above. Above all, it is more preferable to use a temperature-responsive polymer compound that exhibits functionality such that the release of water vapor is regulated according to the ambient temperature. Specifically, for example, it exhibits the functionality of releasing water vapor at a temperature near or higher than room temperature, and stopping the release of water vapor or absorbing moisture at a temperature below room temperature, particularly at a temperature at which dew condensation is a concern. A polymer compound can be preferably used. Commercially available such polymer compounds can be used, and the crops and cultivation facilities to be cultivated to which the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention is applied with reference to the moisture release and moisture absorption temperatures set for each product. It is preferable to select and use it as appropriate according to the conditions and the like. At this time, it is also a preferable form to use a plurality of kinds of polymer compounds in combination.

As described above, a moisture-permeable membrane that does not allow water to pass through but allows only water vapor to pass through, using a water-retaining material in the form of encapsulating water or water, and is generated from the water-retaining material through the moisture-permeable membrane. The natural enemy insect of the present invention also has a form in which the water vapor is introduced into the above-mentioned closed space so that the humidity in the closed space of the main body of the sealed structure can be maintained at a desired high humidity. Is a preferred embodiment of the protective device of. In this case, the water-retaining material to be used is not limited to the above-mentioned highly water-absorbent resin exhibiting sustained-release moisture, and various materials exhibiting water-retaining properties as exemplified above can be appropriately selected and used. Further, in the case of the above-mentioned form, for example, the humidity in the closed space of the main body can be adjusted to a desired state by appropriately adjusting the area and thickness of the moisture-permeable membrane and the material of the membrane. ..

If a bag-shaped water-retaining material in which water or water is sealed with a moisture-permeable membrane is made into a thin shape with a thickness of, for example, about 0.5 to 10.0 mm, it can be used in a state of being attached to the inside of the main body. Is. In that case, since the work of inserting the water-retaining material into the device, which occurs when the device for protecting natural enemy insects of the present invention is installed in the crop cultivation field, can be omitted, the work efficiency at the time of installation can be improved. Is useful in. As the bag-shaped water-retaining material in which water or water is sealed, for example, a material having a length of about 20 to 100 mm and a width of about 20 to 100 mm can be used. Here, when the bag-shaped water-retaining material is used in a state of being attached to the inside of the main body, in order to prevent water vapor from being released before installing the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention in the crop cultivation field, It is effective to cover the bag portion made of a moisture-permeable membrane with a moisture-proof sheet or the like. In this way, by peeling off the moisture-proof sheet at the time of installation, it is possible to efficiently adjust the humidity in the closed space in the protective device without loss. It should be noted that the use of the water-retaining material attached to the inside of the main body and covered with a moisture-proof sheet or the like can be used not only in the above-described form. For example, the highly water-absorbent resin that has been made to absorb water may be directly attached to the inside of the main body without being sealed in a moisture-permeable film, and may be used in a state of being covered with a moisture-proof sheet or the like. As the moisture-permeable film used above that does not allow water to pass through but allows only water vapor to pass through, for example, a microporous polyolefin-based film is desirable, and specifically, a moisture-permeable film KFT (trade name) made of Mitsubishi resin. Etc. can be used.

When the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention is installed and used in facilities such as greenhouses and greenhouses, humidity control is not usually performed in these facilities. Therefore, in the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention, keeping the humidity in the closed space of the main body within a desired range is extremely useful for stable release of natural enemy insects. According to the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention, the humidity in the enclosed space can be maintained at 70% or more, preferably 80% or more, more preferably 85% or more for at least 30 days. The specific means depends on the size of the main body, the material used for the main body, and the like, and cannot be unconditionally specified. For example, it can be realized by placing the water-retaining material in a closed space so that the weight of the water-retaining material contains water or water, which is usually 0.8 to 20 g, preferably 4 to 10 g.

The configuration of the natural enemy insect protection device according to the embodiment of the example in which the present invention is realized will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the natural enemy insect protection device 10 of the present invention has the following structural features, whereby the growth of prey mites that feed on natural enemy insects that are natural enemies of pests is good. It can be maintained, which can improve the settlement of natural enemy insects. That is, the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention has a bag-shaped or housing-shaped main body 11 having a closed space inside, and natural enemy insects and prey mites in the bag arranged in the closed space of the main body 11. It is provided with an accommodating portion 12 which is accommodated so as to be able to enter and exit, and has a portion where the distance between the inner surface of the closed space of the main body portion 11 and the outer surface of the accommodating portion 12 facing each other is 3.0 mm or less. It is characterized by being configured in. Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention has a form in which a member 15 made of a slowly moisture-releasing water-retaining material is further arranged in a closed space of the main body 11. It will show a more remarkable effect. Hereinafter, each component will be described in detail.

(Main body 11)
The main body 11 constituting the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention has a bag-like shape or a housing shape having a space, and the housing shape includes, for example, a cylindrical shape (the bottom surface is an ellipse and a track shape). ), Those having a prismatic shape (including those having a triangular bottom surface and a polygonal shape of a quadrangle or more) and the like. The size of the bottom surface is preferably, for example, about 10 to 50 × 30 to 100 mm in terms of a rectangle. Further, it is preferable that the length of the main body is about 80 to 300 mm and the width is about 70 to 200 mm. Further, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the main body portion 11 having a closed space inside is formed by punching a sheet-like base material made of paper or plastic into a strip shape and assembling it into a housing shape having a space. It can be easily formed. There are no particular restrictions on the punching method or assembly method. It can also be formed by making the main body portion 11 into a bag shape (not shown) and using a paper or plastic bag that matches the size of the accommodating portion 12.

In this way, by making the shape of the main body portion 11 into a bag shape or a housing shape having a space, it is possible to improve the habitat of the accommodation portion 12 described later, which is accommodated in the main body portion 11. That is, since it is possible to form a closed space by sealing from the upper part to the side surface of the main body, it is possible to prevent water droplets from entering from the outside, maintain an appropriate humidity, and block light rays such as sunlight. It is possible to prevent high temperatures caused by heat rays, provide a hiding place (shelter) for spraying chemical pesticides that have a strong effect on natural enemy fog mites, and prevent feeding damage to rats and slugs. Such an effect is synergistically increased by being combined with the spacing relationship formed by the outer surface of the accommodating portion 12 and the inner surface of the main body portion 11, which will be described later.

The base material constituting the main body 11 is made of a material that has elasticity and flexibility, is waterproof and weather resistant because it is often exposed to rain and dew, and can be disposed of as general waste. It is preferable (the same applies to the installation portion 13 described later, which is connected to the main body portion). For example, a synthetic paper or a paper having a water-repellent surface is preferable because it has a small environmental load at the time of disposal. Specific examples thereof include milk carton paper, coated cardboard, double-sided PE (polyethylene) film laminated paper and the like. Further, it may be at least one kind of synthetic resin, metal leaf, or non-woven fabric selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyethylene, polyester and polyurethane. Further, it usually has a thickness of 0.01 to 2.0 mm, preferably 0.1 to 0.5 mm.

As shown in FIG. 1, it is preferable that the main body 11 has a release port (gap) through which natural enemy insects can go out from the space for the activity after the natural enemy insects have propagated. The gap is preferably a small gap through which natural enemy insects can pass, and in consideration of the risk of water infiltrating into the inside due to watering, etc., a slit-shaped gap located near the bottom surface of the lower part of the main body. Is more preferable.

Specifically, the main body portion 11 preferably has a housing shape having at least a front surface portion A, a rear surface portion B facing the front surface portion A, a bottom surface portion C, and a release port D that form a closed space. For example, as shown in FIG. 1, the main body 11 has a housing shape, and a sealed space is formed by a sheet-like base material made of paper or plastic whose surface is water-repellent, and the sealed space is formed. The space has a front surface portion A, a rear surface portion B facing the front surface portion A, a bottom surface portion C, and a slit-shaped release port D through which natural enemy insects can enter and exit the outside, and the space has a slit-like shape. It is preferable that the space is sealed so that water droplets do not enter the closed space from the outside, except for the opening port of the above.

More specifically, by assembling the developed view shown in FIG. 3 as follows, the main body portion 11 having the configuration shown in FIG. 1 can be easily formed. That is, the bottom surface portion C is formed by being defined as the front surface portion A by a crease in which at least one lower end of the sheet-like base material constituting the front surface portion A is bent, and is formed before bending. The lower end of the sheet-like base material has a downwardly convex first inferior arc shape, and the crease shape is symmetrical with respect to the first inferior arc shape chord, and the upwardly convex second It has a poor arc shape, and at least the slit-shaped release port D is formed at a portion where the bent lower end contacts the inner surface of the rear surface portion B.

More specifically, as shown in the developed view shown in FIG. 3, the main body portion 11 having the configuration shown in FIG. 1 has the front surface portion A and the rear surface portion B at the lower ends thereof, respectively. A crease of a second arc shape that is convex upward and is symmetrical to the first arc shape and is connected to both ends of the first arc shape while being formed in a convex first arc shape. The bottom surface portion C has (e), and the bottom surface portion C is brought into approximately 90 degrees while sliding the lower end of the front surface portion A with the inner surface of the rear surface portion B with reference to the second arc-shaped crease of the front surface portion. It is formed by bending inward, and extends from the crease of the second arc shape to the sliding contact portion between the lower end of the front surface portion A and the inner surface of the rear surface portion B, and is formed in an elliptical shape in a bottom view. Further, the release port D is formed between the lower end of the front surface portion and the inner surface of the rear surface portion.

As shown in FIG. 5, it is also a preferred embodiment of the present invention to configure the portion provided with the bottom surface portion as follows. In the natural enemy insect protection device shown in FIG. 5, the main body portion 11 is configured by further bending the lower end of the sheet-shaped base material constituting the rear surface portion B in the device of the form shown in FIG. 1 described above. The bottom surface portion C'is formed by superimposing on the bottom surface portion C provided following the front surface portion A. With this configuration, the slit-shaped release port D formed along the edge of the bottom surface portion C at the position where it contacts the inner surface of the rear surface portion is not exposed to the outside due to the formation of the bottom surface portion C'. Will be. Therefore, according to the natural enemy insect protection device of the form shown in FIG. 5, for example, when water is sprinkled on a plant, the device is provided through a slit-shaped release port D provided in the lower part of the natural enemy insect protection device 10. It becomes possible to more reliably prevent water droplets from entering the inside of the.

(Accommodation unit 12)
The accommodating portion 12 used in the present embodiment is arranged in the space of the main body portion 11. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, for securing an air passage in which natural enemy insects can enter and exit, for example, at least two through holes (one or more openings having a predetermined size). (May be good) (not shown), for example, in a square or rectangular tea bag-shaped bag of 4 to 8 x 4 to 8 cm, a combination of natural enemy insects and prey mites, or natural enemy insects and prey mites, and natural enemies. It preferably contains a combination of food necessary for the growth of insects and / or prey mites. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a supplementary feeding ground for natural enemy insects, and in addition to the functions of the main body 11 described above, for example, from chemical pesticides that affect the survival of natural enemy insects. Further shelters can be provided, etc.

Here, as the natural enemy insects, polyphagous mosquito mites such as Miyako mosquito mite, Swarsky mosquito mite, and Kukumeriska buridani can be mentioned as a preferable example. In the present invention, at least prey mites (sato mites, Sayaashinikku mites, Tyrophagus putrescentiae, etc.) are used as baits to support the activities of natural enemy insects. More preferably, for example, in addition to the prey mites (sato mites, Sayaashinikku mites, Tyrophagus putrescentiae, etc.), fusuma, sugar, etc., which serve as food for the prey mites, may be used in combination. A moisturizer may be added into the accommodating portion 12, but as described above, the moisturizer used is preferably one that does not generate water droplets.

More specifically, as the storage unit 12 used in the present invention, for example, for 250 Swarsky Kaburidani, about 500 to 2000 prey mites are used, and 3.0 g of fusuma and 0 sugar are used. A mixture of .15 to 0.6 g can be mentioned. Further, the trade name "Swarsky Plus" manufactured by Arista Life Science Co., Ltd. may be used.

(In a closed space)
As described above, in the protection device for natural enemy insects according to the embodiment of the present invention, a closed space 14 is formed inside the main body portion 11 and the above-mentioned accommodating portion 12 is arranged inside the closed space 14. As described above, at that time, it is necessary to have a portion having a distance of 3.0 mm or less between the inner surface of the main body portion 11, the outer surface of the accommodating portion 12, and the inner surface of the main body portion. Preferably, it is preferable to arrange the portions so that the intervals are 2.0 mm or less, more preferably 1.0 mm or less, and the intervals are as narrow as possible. This interval can be adjusted when the accommodating portion 12 is inserted into the main body portion 11. This interval can be measured using calipers, digital calipers or feeler gauges.

In the preferred embodiment of the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention as described above, the enclosed space 14 is swollen with water as the sustained-release moisture-retaining material described above, for example, as shown in FIG. It is preferable to accommodate the granular highly water-absorbent resin 15. By doing so, the humidity in the closed space 14 can be maintained in a state of 70% or more for 30 days or more, and further 80% or more for 30 days or more very easily. The present invention is not limited to the above configuration, and for example, a sheet-shaped high water-absorbent resin swollen with water may be arranged in the closed space 14, or a sheet-shaped high water-absorbent resin swollen with water may be arranged. It is also effective to make the resin into a bag shape and arrange the accommodating portion 12 in the bag shape (neither is shown).

As a protection device for natural enemy insects according to another embodiment of the present invention, the main body portion has a closed space inside and has a release port to the outside of the natural enemy insects, at least inside the main body portion. A bag-shaped material (not shown) formed of a water-retaining material that exhibits sustained moisture release to the formed closed space, and a storage unit 12 in which natural enemy insects and prey mites can enter and exit is arranged. It may be configured in. In this case, as the material constituting the bag-shaped main body, the outer surface is made water-repellent, and the material forming the inner surface of the inner bag is a water-retaining material exhibiting sustained moisture release property. It takes. With this configuration, the enclosed space formed inside the bag allows natural enemy insects to enter and exit, and when water is sprinkled on the main body, water does not enter and the humidity is 70% or more. Can be maintained for 30 days or more.

Further, in the natural enemy insect protection device of the present invention, in order to have many portions inside the closed space 14 where the distance between the inner surface of the main body 11 and the outer surface of the accommodating portion 12 is 3.0 mm or less, If necessary, a filling member for filling the gap formed inside the closed space 14 in which the accommodating portion 12 is arranged can be further arranged. Examples of the filling member include felt, skimmer sheet, linen root wrapping sheet, yarn, twine, handicraft cotton and absorbent cotton. These members can be used by being packed in the gap, or can be used by sandwiching the accommodating portion 12. The size of the filling member used is about 50 to 200 mm x 50 to 200 mm and a thickness of about 1 to 10 mm if it is a sheet-like material such as felt, and is string-like or lump-like like yarn or cotton. If it is, the size can be appropriately adjusted so that it can be packed in the gap. When a member that fills such a gap is used, for example, it can serve as a spawning ground for prey mites, and has an excellent effect in maintaining the growth of prey mites and, in turn, improving the settlement of natural enemy insects.

(Installation unit 13)
As shown in FIG. 1, the natural enemy insect protection device 10 of the present invention is installed on the branches and leaves (not shown) of a crop to be protected from harmful insects to be installed, which is connected to the main body 11. It is preferable that the portion 13 is further provided. The installation unit 13 can be directly and easily hung from branches and leaves to be installed. Depending on the mode of use, for example, it may be installed on the branches and leaves of a crop to be protected from pests without using the installation unit 13. In the natural enemy insect protection device 10 shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the inside of the main body portion 11 is used by using the installation portion 13 integrally provided after the sheet forming the rear surface portion B constituting the main body portion 11. The closed space provided in the building is sealed so that water droplets do not enter even when water is sprinkled. Specifically, the portion (a), which is a margin portion provided continuously to the rear surface portion B constituting the main body portion 11 shown in FIG. 3, is bent inward, and the main body portion 11 is formed in the portion (a). The installation portion 13 and the main body portion of the installation portion 13 provided in succession to the rear surface portion B constituting the main body portion 11 after the portion (b) of the inner wall of the side end of the front surface portion A constituting the main body portion A is overlapped and glued. The installation portion 13 is bent toward the front surface portion A constituting the main body portion 11 at the position of the broken line at the boundary demarcating the main body portion 11, and further, only the strip-shaped (c) portion shown in FIG. 3 is the front surface portion A. The installation portion 13 is bent again at the position of the broken line so as to overlap the upper end portion (d) of the above, and the overlapped portion is fixed with an adhesive, a stapler, or the like. By doing so, as shown in FIG. 2, it is possible to form a closed space in which the upper portion is tightly sealed inside the main body portion 11. Further, as described above, the manufacturing method is extremely simple and practical in this respect.

As shown in FIG. 1, the installation portion 13 has a substantially square shape, and the other three sides of the installation portion 11 penetrate the portion connected to the base material of the main body portion 11 except for the upper side of the square shape. A continuous notch is formed, and the notches on the left and right sides of the other three sides have a saw shape that is symmetrical or asymmetrical to each other, and the notches on the three sides are left with the upper side of the square shape. By separating the tongue pieces, it is possible to form a tongue piece that can be detachably sandwiched between the installation target and the base material.

(Manufacturing method of protection device for natural enemy insects)
When the natural enemy insect protection device 10 of the present invention has a housing shape, for example, a plastic or paper sheet-like base material is punched out in a strip shape according to the development view shown in FIG. 3 to create a space. The natural enemy insect protection device 10 can be easily manufactured by assembling into a housing having a housing to form a main body portion 11, inserting and arranging the accommodating portion 12. The same applies to the bag shape. As the product, for example, in the case of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 or FIG. 5, a sheet-like product in which only the bottom surface portion C is not assembled, and a storage portion 12 in which at least natural enemy insects and prey mites are housed. And, if necessary, a ball-shaped highly water-absorbent resin before swelling with water is preferably combined. In this way, the operator simply inserts the accommodating portion 12 and, if necessary, a ball-shaped highly water-absorbent resin that has been swollen with water and drained from the bottom surface portion C side into the main body portion 11. After that, by assembling only the bottom surface portion C, a useful natural enemy insect protection device 10 from which the effect of the present invention can be obtained can be obtained.

Further, as another product, instead of the ball-shaped highly absorbent resin, a bag-shaped water-retaining material in which water or water is sealed with a moisture-permeable membrane may be used as a thin shape. As described above, in this case, it is also possible to use the bag-shaped water-retaining material in a state of being attached in advance to the inside of the main body portion 11. By doing so, the operator simply inserts the accommodating portion 12 into the main body portion 11 from the bottom surface portion C side, and then assembles only the bottom surface portion C, which is a useful natural enemy to obtain the effect of the present invention. The insect protection device 10 can be obtained more easily.

Hereinafter, the protection device for natural enemy insects of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples.
