【0001】
ATIP(Absolute Time in Pre−groove)と呼ばれる時間情報が記録されている。
【0003】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an optical disk and a master disk exposure apparatus such as a CD-R (Compact Disk Recordable) or CR-RW (Compact Disk Rewriteable) having a pre-pit formed in advance and a shallow groove or a shallow pit between adjacent pre-pits. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
An optical disc which is an optical information recording medium such as a recordable compact disc (CD) called CD-R is defined by a standard called an orange book. A normal CD-R is composed entirely of pregrooves, and the pregrooves meander (wobble), and time information called ATIP (Absolute Time in Pre-groove) is recorded due to fluctuations in the wobbling period. Yes.
[0003]
The CD-R is a PCA (Power calibration Area) for setting the light quantity from the inner periphery, a PMA (Program memory Area) for recording the position at the time of additional recording, and an LIA (Lead-in Area) for recording table of contents information (Table of contents). , And an information area for recording data (Program Area), etc., and information is recorded by recording pits along a pre-groove with a CD writer.
[0004]
The CD-R can be additionally recorded by recording the recorded position information (ATIP time) in the PMA after recording the information. Therefore, in the CD-R after the additional recording, pits are formed in a part of the information area and a part of the PMA. Some CD-Rs have pre-pits recorded in advance, which are called hybrid discs, and information and a part of PMA are formed by pre-pits. The prepits meander like the pregrooves.
[0005]
Next, a conventional example will be described. In the hybrid disk, the ROM area formed with pre-pits has a problem that the tracking error signal (push-pull signal) is smaller than the recordable area formed with pre-grooves. In order to improve this, for example, in JP-A-5-6578, a groove between pits wider and shallower than the pregroove is formed between the address pits of the optical information recording medium to improve the tracking error of the prepit area. is doing.
[0006]
In JP-A-5-12680, a groove between pits (pit groove) having the same depth and width as the pre-groove is formed between the pre-pits of the hybrid disc, and the reflectance of the pre-pit area and the pre-groove area is adjusted. Fluctuation is lost. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-131701 is a partial ROM in which a recordable / reproducible area and a reproduction-only area are mixed, and the tracking error signals of the recording / reproductionable area where the pregroove is formed and the reproduction-only area where the prepit is formed are equal. A groove between pits is formed between the prepits.
[0007]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-7339 is a partial ROM, in order to improve the tracking error signal and the CTS (Cross Track Signal) signal of the read-only area where the pre-pits are formed, the space between the pre-pits is narrower than the pre-pits, and A groove between pits shallower than λ / 8n is formed, where λ is the wavelength of the laser beam and n is the refractive index of the optical disk substrate.
[0008]
Further, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-36087, when prepits are wobbled, there is a problem that WCN (Wobble C / N ratio) is lower than that of pregrooves, and jitter increases as the wobble amount increases. Grooves between prepits are provided.
[0009]
On the other hand, as an exposure method of an optical disc master having the groove between pits as described above, for example, there is JP-A-5-12680. This is done by preparing two beams and continuously exposing the groove (Gr) with one beam and exposing the prepits while turning the light on / off with the other beam on the same track. Prepits are formed in the Gr. Further, exposure is performed by changing the beam intensity of one beam between prepits and a groove between pits (Gr between pits), and prepits connected with Gr between pits are formed. In both cases, the exposure of the groove between pits is performed with one beam.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, as described above, if the prepits and prepits are connected by a groove between pits or pits between pits, the pits are extended due to the effect of the groove between pits or pits between pits, and the inclination angle of the track section of the pit is small. As a result, there is a problem that the jitter of the prepit (variation in the length of the prepit) increases.
[0013]
The cause of this is that the exposure beam is generally circular and the center is strong, so even if the space between the prepits and the pits between the pits is spaced, the track center of the prepits has a sharp shape with only the center extending due to the pits between the pits. This is because the jitter increases due to variations in the amount of elongation and tracking errors.
