前記ＣＡＴＶ用端末装置は，ＣＡＴＶ用端末装置が受信した放送信号のＴＶ画面の他に，双方向通信によって得られた前記情報を前記テレビ画面内に情報画面として選択的に表示できるようにテレビ受信機に信号出力するように構成されると共に，当該信号に基づいて表示されたテレビ画面の表示中に，前記情報画面の表示を選択する選択手段によって情報画面の表示を選択することで，希望の情報の詳細をテレビ画面に表示するように構成したことを特徴としたＣＡＴＶシステム。
