Abstract
Description
【0001】
なお、NTSC(National Television on System Committee)方式では、縦方向に525本の走査線を持ち、1秒間に30フレームを表示する(インターレース表示)。

【0023】
次に、全体制御部10は、STC(System Time Clock)11のリセットを行う。
PTS(Presentation Time Stamp)、DTS(Decording Time Stamp)を必要に応じて決定して記録する。
【0028】
データ多重部22は、入力された各パケットデータをパック化し、STC11の値に従って、パックの先頭にSCR(System Clock Referrence)を付加する。また、データ多重部22はフォーマット処理部(図示せず)を有しており、このフォーマット処理部にて、DVD−Video規格やDVD−Recording規格に準拠したフォーマット処理を行う。
【0029】
図2にDVD−Video規格(DVD Specifications for Read−Only Disc)のVOB(Video Object)構成を、図3および図4にVideo−Recording規格(DVD Specifications for Rewritable/Re−recordable Discs Part3 Video Recording)のVOB構成を示す。
【0030】
VOBはDVDの再生の単位である。VOBはさらに小さなVOBU(Video Object Unit)から構成される。
【0048】
Line21_data(ライン21データ)はline21_data1(8bit)とline21_data2(8bit)を含み、それぞれEIA−608規格におけるCharacter1データとCharacter2データに対応する。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an information recording device, and more particularly, to an information recording device that performs recording on a recording medium such as a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc).
[0002]
[Prior art]
The DVD is obtained by digitally compressing sub video data such as main video, audio, and characters (captions) and recording the data on an optical disc. The data signal recorded on the DVD includes a main video, a plurality of types (for example, different languages) of audio, and a plurality of types (for example, different languages) of sub-picture data (SP data) which are packetized and recorded. I have.
[0003]
Also, closed caption data (CC data) that is integrated with the main video data and packetized exists as caption data different from the sub video. This CC data is originally data for subtitles designed for the hearing impaired, and is currently used in broadcasts, DVDs, and video tapes in the United States, for example, for subtitle data containing onomatopoeia and second foreign languages. Is used as subtitle data. In the NTSC (National Television on System Committee) system, 525 scanning lines are provided in the vertical direction, and 30 frames are displayed per second (interlace display). Of these 525 lines, the timing corresponding to the first 21 lines of each field (two frames constitute one frame) is allocated for an interval for starting scanning, and this is a VBI (Vertical Blanking Interval; vertical). This is called a blanking period. Closed captioning is also called the
[0004]
When both the SP data and the CC data are reproduced, since the display position of each signal is not considered at all, when both the signals are reproduced and displayed, they overlap and disturb the image. Sometimes.
[0005]
For this reason, in the conventional DVD reproducing apparatus, the display area and display period of the sub-picture data and the display area and display period of the closed caption data are detected, and the display image by the sub-picture data and the display image by the closed caption data are detected. At least one of the display images is changed so as not to overlap (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0006]
On the other hand, in recent years, there is an information recording / reproducing apparatus that converts a television broadcast with CC data into DVD stream data and records the data on a DVD. According to this information recording / reproducing apparatus, it is possible to extract information necessary for displaying character code data from CC data, convert the information into sub-pictures, and reproduce the sub-pictures.

[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, if the stream data with CC data further includes sub-picture data, the language of the sub-picture data is not compared with the language of the CC data.
[0009]
Therefore, even if both are in the same language, they are recorded regardless of the DVD, and a plurality of subtitles in the same language are written on the DVD, resulting in wasted recording capacity.
[0010]
An object of the present invention is to provide an information recording device that records caption information efficiently on a recording medium.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A first invention is means for separating the main video data and the sub-video data from stream data including main video data and sub-video data, and means for extracting character data superimposed on the main video data, Using the first table of the language code of the sub-picture data, the second table of the language code of the extracted character data, and the first and second tables, the sub-picture data and the extracted character data are compared. An information recording apparatus comprising: comparing means for comparing languages; and recording means for recording the sub-picture data and the extracted character data on a recording medium when the comparing means determines that the languages are different.
[0012]
A second invention is the information recording apparatus according to the first invention, wherein the recording means records the sub-picture data and the extracted character data on the recording medium as sub-picture data.
[0013]
A third invention is the information recording apparatus according to the first invention, wherein the stream data is recorded on another recording medium different from the recording medium.
In a fourth aspect, when the comparing means determines that the languages of the sub-picture data and the extracted character data are the same, and further compares the words and determines that the words are different, the recording means The information recording apparatus according to the first invention, wherein the sub-video data having different words and the extracted character data are recorded on the recording medium.
[0014]
A fifth invention is characterized in that the comparing means checks whether or not the words of the sub-picture data and the extracted character data have the same onomatopoeia to determine whether or not the words are different. An information recording apparatus according to a fourth aspect of the present invention.
[0015]
A sixth aspect of the present invention is the fourth aspect of the present invention, wherein even when the comparing means compares the words, if the words are determined to be the same, only the sub-picture data is recorded on the recording medium. An information storage device.
[0016]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
