2. Description of the Related Art A train used as a single-car tram has a body supported by a pair of front and rear bogie units. However, in a conventional single-car tram, a car having a substantially flat entire floor area is used. The front and rear ends of the car are supported by a bogie unit, so the floor height of the vehicle body is very high, and stairs are required at the entrance of trains for trams with low floors at the stop. However, it is unsuitable for recent trains that require a so-called barrier-free to facilitate getting on and off of a wheelchair or a disabled person. In order to solve this problem, special left and right independent bogie units, each of which is driven separately by a vertical (front-to-rear) motor, are arranged separately under the seats on the left and right sides of the vehicle body, and the floor surface of the vehicle body Was thought to be lower.

The above-mentioned special bogie unit of the independent left and right type is a conventional bogie unit configured to drive the left and right wheels by a horizontal (horizontal sideways) motor disposed between the left and right wheels. The cost is very high as compared with a general bogie unit, and a substantial increase in vehicle cost is unavoidable. In addition, the seats arranged on the special left and right independent bogie unit are located closer to the center line of the vehicle body than other seats. The passageway becomes narrower, which particularly hinders wheelchair traffic.

According to the train of the present invention which can be carried out as described above, the electric power unit and the control device are supported below the low floor passenger area of the vehicle body floor. Thus, the ground height of the low-floor passenger area on the floor can be sufficiently reduced. Moreover, since the bogie unit is arranged below the front and rear end high floor areas of the vehicle body floor which can be mounted at the very front and rear both end portions of the vehicle body to support the vehicle body, the conventional general bogie unit, that is, When using a bogie unit that is configured to drive the left and right wheels with a horizontal (horizontal sideways) motor placed between the left and right wheels, and using a special bogie unit with independent left and right types As compared with, the cost of the entire train can be greatly reduced. Also, unlike the case of using a special bogie unit that is independent of the left and right, the width of the passage between the seats allocated to the left and right of the passenger area does not become narrow, and the low floor passenger area excluding the high floor area at both ends The entire area is a passenger area with ample aisle width, and can be used comfortably by wheelchair users and disabled persons.

Further, since the ground height of the low-floor passenger area can be reduced, the entire ceiling (inside and outside ceiling) of the low-floor area can be obtained.
, The height of the interior space in the low-floor passenger area can be maintained high enough to provide a comfortable riding space. Therefore, even if various large-sized devices conventionally supported under the floor are mounted on the roof of the vehicle body, the height of the entire vehicle body and the height of the center of gravity can be kept relatively low.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, while installing the driver's boarding section in the high-floor area where the length in the front-rear direction is relatively long, the driver boarding the driver's boarding section can move backward. The driver can also easily exchange conversations with passengers entering and exiting the rear entrance and passengers entering the fare box, as well as paying change to the fare box. There is no problem even when operating in a one-man car system. In particular, since the entrance is in the low-floor passenger area, a passenger using a wheelchair can easily move from the entrance to the exit, and the fare can be collected while being in a wheelchair.
