Abstract
875,610. Injectors. HICK, HARGREAVES & CO. Ltd. July 28, 1959 [Oct. 30, 1958], No. 34858/58. Class 71. An ejector for exhausting a fluid by jet action comprises a casing having a convergent-divergent passageway 5 and multiple nozzles arranged in a nozzle plate 2 having their axes disposed in alignment with the generating lines of a hyperboloid disposed within the passageway. A connection 4 is provided between the nozzles and the passageway to admit the fluid to be exhausted. The passageway 5 is preferably shaped as a hyperboloid and the nozzles may be arranged in more than one ring of more than one hyperboloid. A further nozzle may be provided on the axis of the ejector.
