Abstract
An ejector type of jet pump combines a high fluid throughput with long service life and absence of any moving parts. It consists of a convergent-divergent section with a wall resembling a hyperboloid of revolution which is inserted into the fluid pipeline. The working medium is admitted at the inlet through an annular chamber with holes which direct jets of the working medium in a spiral motion along the walls of the hyperboloid. A spider of three arms at the narrowest section contains two nozzles in each arm which can also inject oblique jets of working medium inwards.
