Abstract

869,701. Television. PICKER X-RAY CORPORATION, WAITE MANUFACTURING DIVISION Inc. Oct. 21, 1958 [Nov. 26, 1957], No. 33595/58. Class 40(3) [Also in Group XX] Resistors 30, 32 mechanically coupled to the plates 34, 40 of an adjustable shutter in an X-ray apparatus utilizing a television camera tube 22 (preferably a "Vidicon") to generate signals for a receiver 45 are employed to vary the magnitudes of the horizontal and vertical sweeps in accordance with the dimensions of the shutter aperture 14 so as to obtain optimum resolution of the exposed area of the object 18. It is stated that the resistors may also vary the magnitudes of the sweeps in the receiver cathode-ray tube. Reference is made to recording the signals from the camera tube.
