800,043. Container closures. BAYETTO, A. Nov. 29, 1955 [Feb. 23, 1955], No. 34201/55. Class 125(3). A closure for containers having a peripheral bead 5c comprises a cap 1c of polyvinyl chloride polyethylene or the like having a projection 3c which enters the container mouth and a flange 8c divided by slits 9c into lugs which are forced into engagement with bead 5c by a ring 2c screwed on to the cap. In a modification, Fig. 3, a cap 1d has a projection 3d and flange 8d subdivided by slits 9d, the securing member being constituted by a dished cap 2d having a threaded projection 13d which is screwed into a tapping n projection 3d.
