[Class 5 (ii)] A poultry house comprising a main compartment with a base tray or trays removable for cleaning purposes and nest boxes on the exterior of the main compartment with access for poultry from said compartment and further access to said nest boxes from outside the house for the collection of eggs, is provided with means for causing air circulation within the main compartment comprising openings under the eave of the roof for the entry of fresh air and one or more openings in the roof for the escape of used air. In the form shown a poultry house raised on bent metal stands 6 has nest boxes 9 situated on the outside, and the base in the form of a longitudinal trough 31, the bottom of which is a sliding tray which can be removed from outside the house to remove droppings. Two slatted flaps 22 can be let down to provide an entry for poultry. A third hinged flap 27 having a central glass panel covers the opening between flaps 22. It can be raised to form a shade while permitting free entry of air through the wire-netting 20a or slid out of view beneath the roof. Fresh air can enter through slits 34 under the eave of the roof, used air escaping through an elongated opening formed by overlapping sections 3 and 4 of the roof. The nest box has a hinged flap 37 at the back to form an egg trap, the base 10 of the box 9 being sloped towards the flap so that the egg pushes it open and rolls into the curved collecting end. A hinged opening is provided in the nest-box at the trap-end for removal of the egg. One stand 6 may be provided with holes to receive the axle of a pair of travelling wheels when it is required to move the house.
