Abstract
387,423. Poultry-houses. REDDAWAY, F. W., Holly Farm, Bressingham, Diss, Norfolk. Oct. 8, 1931, No. 27915. [Class 5 (ii).] A poultry-house comprises two slatted floors 4, 6, the lower 4 of which is above ground level, a ramp 1 whereby poultry may gain access to the floor 4, and an aperture 15 in the door 5 whereby poultry may gain access to the ramp 1, the aperture 15 being at a level below that of the floor 4. The ramp 1, comprising a substantially square, mesh-covered frame, is hinged at 7, 8 to the floor 4 and may occupy the position shown to provide access to the floor 4 whether the door 5 is open or closed, or it may be fastened in the horizontal position by turnbuttons 12, 13, 14 to close the house, or, if desired, it may be turned back to rest on the floor 4. The door 5 may be swung from hinge pinths 9, 10 on either side of the doorway. The ramp 1 may be slidable in grooves in the floor 4, instead of being hinged thereto. Nest boxes, on the lower floor, and droppings boards may be provided. According to the Provisional Specification, feed troughs are provided at one side of the house.
