Abstract

518,842. Eye shades. FLEISCHER, H. C. Sept. 6, 1938, No. 26094. [Class 97 (i)] [Also in Group VII] The hinges connecting portions of a foldable eyeshade comprise helical wire threaded through perforations in adjacent edges; a head band, skull cap, hair net &c. is secured to the shade. As shown, a main portion 1 has portions 2, 3 connected to it by helical wires 4 passing through perforations, and the portions are secured to a leather or other non-absorbent band 10 having a buckle 11, the joint being covered by a canvas or other strip 12. The portions may consist of plain, coloured, or smoked celluloid, and, according to the Provisional Specification, may be connected by flexible adhesive material or metal hinges, or may be integral and have weakened or perforated lines to form the hinges.
