[Class 27] Articles b, Fig. 1, are stored in two or more magazines a, each pile resting on inturned flanges e,f, Fig. 2, at the bottom of the magazine. The bottom article of a magazine is delivered by pulling out a corresponding drawer d, after prepayment, a pusher g at the back of the drawer delivering the article from the flanges e, f to the drawer, when this is nearly fully open. Each drawer has a pin f<1> engaging a forked arm g<1> of a bell-crank lever a<1> pivoted at b<1>, there being a lever a<1> for each drawer. The other arm of the lever a<1> is provided with surfaces c<1>, m<1>, n<1> as shown. When a drawer is pulled, the surfaces c<1> engages a corresponding pin dl on a locking bar e<1> common to all the drawers and released by the insertion of a coin so that it can slide. As the selected drawer is pulled out, other pins or abutments h<1> corresponding to the unopened drawers slide along the surfaces m<1> of their respective levers a<1> and prevent these drawers from being opened. The drawers are also controlled by the usual stop devices which prevent more than one drawer being pulled out at a time, these devices comprising strips p, q on the drawers co-operating with sliding blocking members o. The abutment h<1> corresponding to the drawer comes behind the surface n<1> of the actuated lever a<1>. When the drawer is closed again, the surface n<1> acts on the abutment h<1> and positively returns the locking bar e<1> to its initial position.
