Abstract

Cement is mixed with tripoli and mineral or vegetable fibres The mixture may then be formed into mortar or concrete with, if desired, the usual aggregates. The composition may comprise, in parts by weight, 100 cement, 1 to 40 fibres, and 1 to 25 tripoli. Vegetable fibres may be sterilized before use if desired. The material is used for posts for carrying electric lines, or for railway sleepers.
