Abstract

A toy random number/symbol generating toy comprises a self-righting characterised housing containing electronic components of the random number/symbol generator. The random numbers/symbols are communicated to a user by a visual screen and a sound generating component. The toy is made to self-right by the addition, in the lower region of the housing, of a weight component or the weight of the electronic components themselves. The random number/symbol generator may be activated by movement or a manually switch. A plurality of toys may be used in a battling or dueling game.

Description

BACKGROUND OF ThE INVENTION
The market for children's toys is a substantial one. Small collectable type toys and cards are well known in the industry, being used as a source of entertainment for children over generations.
Collectable toys have gained popularity over the years, such toys have game structures which often have complex rules but yet these very successful global toys rely on their good price point, clever merchandising, cute colourful individual characters, and ollectable swapping factors rather than "playability" -The "Next Generation" should have all these characteristics!
STATEMENT OF INVENTION -Description
Target market: Children 3 -S yrs. This invention is to create a new generation, modern cute collectable character figured toy/game based on new and old proven track records (dice, marbles and electronics), which is easy to play, unleashes imagination, collectable fun, competiveness, and has educational development properties.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: The primary element of the device consists of a main characterised unit which houses a screen such as LCD or LED, Computerized Processing Chip, Accelerometer/Movement Detector and Battery encased within a hardwearing material in order to protect outer and inner workings as contact with the ground or other objects, and or to remain intact its shape through multiple compressions and decompressions of the device, for example, hard scratch resistant plastic or rubber. This unit generates random chance numeric's or symbols or light indicators (power poInts) when thrown, shaken or manually triggered. The primary element shown in Fig 1 is made to a uniform shape which allows different characters to be painted/printed/stuck on. Models in the future may include syncing capabilities to enable interactive bathing and sound generation function with in built speaker exiting display screen.
Fig 1,2 & 4. Perspective Views from a first viewing direction in differently drawn representations -The housing uniVs consist of a solid characterized housing figure. This housing unit will preferably be constructed of a hardened scratch resistant material like Plastic or rubber, having either no moving extremities which is shown in Fig 1, or movable locking assisted motion on arms/legs/head etc, whereby the device expands from a compressed state or unfolds, releasing limbs and individual characteristics of the figure by way of pins or spring action. Once the device comes to a stop, the scoring unit will display the outcome for a specified time by, time delay, motion detection or even manual means.
Device as shown in Fig 3 Cross-Section View -consists primarily of body portion which could take on any shape e.g. Rectangular, Triangular, Pyramid, Cone, Cylinder, Sphere etc or existing Animal, Mythical, Cartoon, Fantasy, Fictional, Human etc (the alternative shapes and design of figure add to the individual collectability). The two units joined together, form a new entity that can be used in a game of chance thrown/shaken against other piece/s, creating bathing or duelling. The device may be composed of material of any colour, including transparent, and may be adorned with various character designs, including special collectable pieces that have an ability to generate higher scores which when duelling with opponents. Various activities may be undertaken with the device, including a simple game of high score wins between two or mare persons. In addition, the device may be utilized to play a game Involving a target wherein the accuracy of the landing spot of the device may be used to add to the score of the game, Cont. accompanying cards detailing names, characters powers etc could be issued along with a battle arena or, new/existing board games could be transformed overnight having new elechonic dice and counters rolled in to one embodiment or, a learning tool within education, helping to increase students early math learning capabilities through play stimulating cognitive skills.
