Abstract

A team sports game consisting of a playing area (1) formed into the shape of a cylinder, polyhedron or their parts or their deformed forms, on which activable objects (2) are arranged, which are activated according to the rules, and a player's task is to deactivate the objects (2) as fast as possible, while the game is controlled by a computer or another electronic device.

Description

A Team Sports Game
Field of technology
The invention deals with a new team sports game suitable for the wide public.
The existing state of technology
Games involving practicing sharp eye are widespread and popular with young people, particularly computer games, which however do not provide the players with much physical exercise. There are also various popular board games, among which we can rank for example the game according to patent application No. GB 2 092 455, a board game for two players. A playing area formed by a special electronic device is equipped with two groups of six keys regularly located in a half-circle, where each of the keys includes a signalling element. The players then switch the signalling according to the game rules. However the players are sitting when playing the game. Games involving physical exercising, also developing movement coordination and physical condition apart from sharp eye, like for example squash, which is so popular nowadays, however require special equipment and some people have problems with getting over the beginner stage.
The nature of the invention
The above drawbacks are partly removed by a new team sports game, the nature of which is principally based on activable objects arranged on a playing area formed in the shape of a regular or deformed cylinder, polyhedron or their parts, while the objects are activated according to the game rules and the player's task is to deactivate the active objects as soon as possible.
The activable objects may advantageously be arranged on the inside playing area, but they may also be located outside if necessary.
Comparable combinations of object activation are necessary for competitions.
The game is controlled and interpreted by a computer or another electronic device. The results may be processed and sent to a central computer, which then compares and archives all the results and provides outlines. Real-time competitions in various categories on the worldwide basis are thus possible. Local parallel competitions may also be attractive.
The game can also be simulated by a computer or another electronic device in a so called virtual version.
Everybody can participate without preparation.
No special equipment has to be bought to play the game.
The game may be customized for all player categories according to age or capacity.
The game leads to practicing sharp eye on one hand, but it also develops movement co-ordination and physical condition of players on the other hand as it is particularly designed for players in movement.
Summary of the pictures on the drawing
The team sports game is explained in more detail on the enclosed drawing, where Fig. 1 shows a playing area formed as a vertical cylinder. Examples of the invention implementation
The team sports game depicted in Fig. 1 consists of a playing area 1 formed to a vertically arranged cylinder of 3m in diameter and 2m in height, on the internal surface of which 100 activable objects 2, in this version illuminated switches, are arranged in 5 horizontal rows of 20 switches each. The activable objects 2, in this version illuminated switches, are randomly switched on and the player switches them of by pressing them. When an activable object 2 is switched off, another one starts lighting randomly in turn, until all the activable objects 2, in this version illuminated switches, are used in selected combinations. The time in which a player manages to complete the whole cycle is measured.
The game is controlled and interpreted by a computer.
People with hearing defect may also play the game.
A variant with audibly activated object may even be played by people with poor sight.
If only reachable objects are activated, e.g. up to particular height, the game may be played by persons of various height categories or on wheelchairs.
Industrial applicability
The team sports game according to the invention may be installed and operated not only in various areas, particularly in sports facilities, schools, clubrooms, entertainment facilities, holiday facilities, but also outdoor.
