Abstract

A timer is provided having LEDs which indicate when a time interval, such as a motor service interval has expired using a digital clock and calendar. The timer may be attached to the vehicle using double-sided tape or two screws. <IMAGE>

Description

Description MOT/SERVICE MODULE An ABS casing with a digital clock which can be set to indicate when a service or MOT is due or overdue, by using different coloured LED's. It can be reset each time an MOT or service is carried out by inserting a special jack plug which is suppiied to the garage or outlet which sells the Module.
An internal battery will power the module independently from the vehicles power supply.
An indicator will show if the battery condition is low The description refers to figure 1 enclosed The reason for the Module is that it is possible for the owner/driver of the vehicle to forget when the service or MOT is due and in the case of the MOT to use the vehicle on the highway illegally

Claims (1)

  1. Claim The invention relates to an MOT/service reminder module The module is to be used as a reminder that a service or MOT is due The module has three LED's for each of the two purposes. Service due and MOT due.
    a) The first LED is green and shows that the module is operating b) The second LED is orange and shows that there is one month before either the MOT or service is due to be carried out c) The third LED is red and shows that either the service or MOT due date has been exceeded.
    Fig 1 shows the detail of how the module will appear
