Abstract
A massage device has an electrically driven massaging portion 20 in the form of an erect penis and a signal generation integrated circuit 9 to synthesise a male human voice, an amplifier 11 and a miniature loudspeaker 12 encased in a waterproof housing. The massage device seeks to enhance the pleasure provided by the device by stimulating the user by way of a pleasant or otherwise desired audio signal. <IMAGE>
Description
MASSAGE DEVICE
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a massage device.
Various massage devices are currently available which, although perhaps providing a suitable physical massaging sensation have associated disadvantages in that the electrically driven massaging means emits an undesired and unpleasant noise. Also, such devices are limited in only providing physical massage stimulation rather than stimulation by way of sensory organs such as the ears and eyes.
The present invention seeks to provide a massage device which overcomes at least some of the disadvantages and limitations experienced with current devices.
According to the present invention there is provided a massage device comprising an electrically driven massaging portion, audio signal generation means and an audio signal output means.
Preferably the audio signal generation and output means comprises a suitable signal generation integrated circuit, an amplifier and output loud speaker.
Advantageously, the output loud speaker is of a miniature scale and is adapted, whether by its housing or otherwise, to be waterproof.
According to one particular embodiment, the audio signal generating means comprises a male human voice generation integrated circuit (voice synthesis chip).
Further, the massaging portion can be provided in the form of an erect male glands penis.
In such a case, the audio signal output means can be provided integral with the massaging portion.
According to further advantageous aspects of the invention, an audio signal volume control and massage vibration speed/magnitude control are provided for the device. Preferably, such controls are provided remote from the massaging portion.
The invention is described further hereinafter by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig. 1 is a schematic cross-section through a massage device embodying the present invention; and
Fig. 2 is a schematic plan view of the device of Fig.
1.
As can be seen in Fig. 1, a massage device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a massaging portion 20, an audio signal generation portion 22, and a control portion 24 which houses three batteries 16 connected in series. The series connected batteries 16 provide a voltage by way of electrical contacts 15, 17 which is applied, by way of wire leads 14 to the audio signal generation portion 22. Part of the voltage applied from the leads 14 is supplied to the audio signal generation means which comprises a human male voice synthesis integrated circuit 9 and an amplifier 11 mounted on a printed circuit board 10. The audio signal generated from the integrated circuit 9 is applied to the amplifier 11 and the output of which is applied to a miniature loud speaker 12 housed behind a plastic screen 13.The remainder of the voltage applied by way of the leads 14 is applied via wire lead 8 to the massage portion 20 which comprises a miniature motor 7 for driving a rotatable off-centre weight 6 so as to create the massaging vibration sensation.
As can be seen in Fig. 2, a slide control knob 4 is provided for controlling the volume of the audio signal output by way of the miniature speaker 12 and a slide control knob 5 is provided for controlling the magnitude of vibration of the massage portion 20. As such, the massage device can emit a stimulating audio signal while also providing for physical massage by way of the portion 20.
The invention is not restricted to the details of the foregoing embodiment. For example, the massage portion may be provided in any particular form and any particular form of audio signal can be generated and output from the device.
The main requirement for the audio signal being that it seeks to enhance the pleasure provided by the device by stimulating the user by way of a pleasant or otherwise desired audio signal.
