Abstract
The laser has a dye quality switch, the dye being contained in a film which consists of a material that is transparent for the laser wavelength. The film (17) is embedded between two transparent bodies (18, 19) in a filling material (20) whose refractive index is essentially the same as that of the film (17) and which is used to compensate for irregularities in the film, in order to prevent light scattering on the film. <IMAGE>
