Abstract
1537372 Electron beam magnetic deflecting apparatus DENKI ONKYO CO Ltd 7 Jan 1976 00416/76 Heading H1D A deflection yoke includes a flare shaped frame 20 with integral front and rear end formations 28, 30 having annular grooves, and a horizontal and vertical deflection coil, one of which is wound on the inner surface of the frame in a saddle configuration by fitting and anchoring a conductor in a plurality of radial grooves in an annular flange of each end formation; Winding on the upper half frame 22 is described w.r.t. Fig. 4 (not shown) for single or multiwire conductor 361. Grooves 32, 34 may also extend into the annular portion 283. The configuration and distribution of turns may be varied to produce a required field. Projections (46), Fig. 7, not shown) formed integrally with frame 40 or adhesively secured thereto constrain the turns. A plurality of rows of projections may be uniformly spaced axially, or at random. Alternatively, a plurality of steps (52) may be provided (Fig. 8, not shown), and a concentrated turns distribution adjacent apex (481) may produce a pin magnetic field. The grooves may be enlarged toward their open end (Fig. 9, not shown) and radially extending tabs (64) prevent displacement of the conductor in the region where the density is increased, which is stated to be particularly effective for a two part frame. The core may be of ferrite and the coil frame of polypropylene. The spacing between adjacent turns may be increased towards the front.
