Abstract

1410486 Coffee infusing NORTH AMERICAN SYSTEMS Inc 26 Sept 1972 12019/75 Divided out of 1410484 Heading A4E [Also in Division F4] In a beverage brewing apparatus an electrical water heating unit H (Division F3-4) is provided with a water inlet 30 and a water discharge 25a (Fig.2) and a water reservoir tray T having an outlet for allowing water to be fed gravitationally to the water inlet 30. The housing structure of the apparatus includes a pedestal element consisting of a horizontally extending base portion A and a vertically extending hollow column portion C, the base portion A having a beaker warmer plate W. The apparatus is provided with a separate hollow hood 41 for enclosing the heating unit H and the reservoir tray T, the hood 41 having a rear bottom portion engaged and secured on the top end of the column portion C and a front portion extending forwardly over a front portion of the base, the hood portion being provided on its bottom surface with a support for supporting a brewing funnel F beneath the water discharge of the heating unit and over the warmer plate W, the hood top having a filling opening D to allow water to be poured into the reservoir tray T. The operation of the water heating unit is as disclosed in Specification 1410484.
