Abstract

1374351 Cathode-ray tubes RCA CORPORATION 5 Jan 1972 [15 Jan 1971] 389/72 Heading H1D An adjustable mounting for the deflection yoke of a cathode-ray tube comprises an outer housing 10 secured to the tube by fingers 15 and adhesive pads 12, an inner housing 20 coaxial with the outer housing and displaceable and rotatable therein, rings 47, 50 for respectively engaging the front and rear of ferrite core 46 of the yoke in such a way that the yoke is rigidly secured to the inner housing through plates 30, 40 and a clamping screw 18 engageable with a nut 42 on plate 40, the screw being tightened against a slotted clamping member 17 overlying a slot 16 in the outer housing when the yoke is correctly aligned. The various parts of the mounting are made of plastics material and are secured in their position by the provision of interlocking tabs and slots.
