1275982 Time-recording apparatus J. SCHLENKER-GRUSEN 4 Nov 1969 [27 Dec 1968] 54061/69 Heading G4T Time-stamping apparatus includes means for printing a symbol simultaneously with the time which may be used for automatic checking of the time-card. Means are provided for rendering the symbol printing means inoperative. The apparatus includes time print wheels 4 and a symbol print element 6. The element 6 is rotatably mounted on shaft 8 and biased to its operative position by spring 11. The element is moved to an inoperative position by an electromagnet 10. Solenoid-operated fingers 13 retain the time-card in position during printing. The symbol consists of a rectangular shape which may be read automatically by an electro-optical instrument, the symbol being used, for example, to indicate overtime working.
