Abstract

1,241,528. Ventilators. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. 16 March, 1970 [19 March, 1969], No. 12572/70. Heading F4V. A ceiling air supply unit comprises a plenum chamber 4 and air distribution means including two perforated metal plates 7, 8 which define with sidewalls 9 a chamber 10, and gaps 11 around the sidewalls 9 and provided with dampers 12. The air flow aperture area in the upper plate 7 is smaller than, and preferably one-fifth of, that of the lower plate 8. Air flow through plate 7 may be controlled by a slidable apertured plate 16 or an exchangeable plate having a single large opening. The air may be pre-filtered and is preferably cold.
