[Also in Division H1] ] A record card has a layer of magnetic material of one coercivity occupying at least part of the area of the card, and another layer of magnetic material of different coercivity occupying part only of the area of the other layer. The layer of lower coercivity may be continuous and the other in the form of strips or dots. Either layer may be the outer layer. The materials of high and low coercivity may be Co ferrite and #-Fe a O3 respectively. Information is recorded on both layers and then erased from the layer of low coercivity; different information may then be recorded on this layer. ,
