[Also in Division F4] A sound absorbing baffle 41 is supported by brackets 42 in the rectangular section inlet duct 12 of an extractor ventilator. The ventilator comprises a rectangular plate 18 confronting the duct 12 to form a discharge aperture 21, the plate 18 mounting a centrifugal fan 31. The fan inlet 17 is formed in an end plate 16 of the duct 12. A dome 33 covers the fan motor 28 and is spaced from the plate 18 to allow an air flow over the motor and through an aperture 34A. Non return shutters 26 are arranged in the outlet aperture 21.
