Dispositif de gestion d’alimentation électrique (3) destiné à équiper un système PoE comprenant une liaison PoE entre un équipement PSE PoE et au moins un équipement PD PoE, ledit dispositif (3) comportant un circuit de signature (315, 316, 313), un circuit d’alimentation (315, 317), un circuit de commutation (311, 312), et un module de commande (314) connecté respectivement au circuit de signature (315, 316, 313), au circuit d’alimentation (315, 317, 318) et au circuit de commutation (311, 312) ; ledit module de commande (314) commandant le circuit de signature (315, 316, 313), le circuit d’alimentation (315, 317) et le circuit de commutation (311, 312) en fonction d’une demande d’activation de l’équipement PD ; ledit dispositif (3) comportant en outre une source d’alimentation autonome (318) alimentant le dispositif (3) quand il n’est plus alimenté par l’équipement PSE.
