METHOD FOR EDITING A SHORTCUT ON A DISPLAY DEVICE OF A VEHICLE COMPRISING AT LEAST TWO SCREENS.

The invention relates to graphic interfaces, and in particular, customizable vehicle handsets.

In recent years, all-digital displays have been introduced in vehicles, including for example an active matrix LCD display (LCD-TFT) in place of physical keys.

These new type of displays which offer a very good image quality in terms of resolution, contrast and brightness, are further configurable by the driver of the vehicle which can thus choose at least in part the modules he wants see on the screen as well as the display style and mood (sober with dark color background, or sporty background with bright color lighting).

These digital displays can also control a number of vehicle functions: air conditioning, audio system, central locking, lighting, etc.

However, these displays do not really offer the possibility of customizing the display of information. The consequence is that some information that does not interest the driver or passengers can be displayed and degrade the display synthesis and especially the density of information.

Moreover, when settings are available, the multitude of data that can be displayed and the variety of possible options make the setting of these displays relatively complex, especially for a neophyte user.

Document US20170010766 discloses a method for setting widgets displayed in a vehicle screen. However, the possibilities of layout of widgets are relatively limited so that access to certain functions is not very easy.

The invention therefore aims to remedy the aforementioned problem and to provide a method and a device easily and allowing easy access to many functions.

Specifically, it proposes for this purpose a method for editing a shortcut on a display device of a vehicle comprising a first touch screen configured to display at least one page, and a second touch screen configured to display a page. shortcuts characterized in that it comprises steps of:

Figure 1 shows a passenger compartment 10 and in particular a dashboard. The dashboard comprises, on the driver's side, which is in the example shown on the left side of the vehicle, an instrumentation handset 11.

The page concerned is a page 20 of a music playback application but the invention also applies to other applications such as navigation or adjusting the air conditioning of the vehicle and more generally to any other page.

In this example, the page 20 of the application includes a first 21 graphic object called information. In other words, a graphic object of the display page presenting at least one information relating to the application but having interaction capacity. Indeed, if the user selects this object, for example by touching it, the application does not provide any response. As will be seen below, such an object is not likely to be shortened.

In this example, the first graphic object 21 includes an image representing for example a station logo and an alphanumeric character set including in particular: an artist name and a song title being read.

In this example, the application page also includes a plurality of graphic objects 22, 23, 24, 25, called interaction. In other words, components of the display page having an ability to interact. Indeed, if the user selects one of these objects, for example by touching it, the application provides a response in return.

In this example, the page includes:

Referring to Fig. 6, in a first step, the display device detects a shortcut editing command from page 20 being displayed.

According to a feature of the invention, the shortcut editing command corresponds to a support maintained (or extended) on the touch screen. A support is considered prolonged over the duration of this support is greater than a predetermined threshold for example 600ms.

In response to detecting the shortcut editing command, the display device displays the page in the shortcut editing mode.

In response to the detection of the shortcut editing command, the display further displays on the second touch screen (12.2) the shortcut page in an edit mode (20.2 ', 20.2 ").

According to a first embodiment, the editing command also makes it possible to select a location of a shortcut on the second touch screen (12.2). In this case, the edit mode of the shortcut page (20.2 ') includes an indication of the selected location. The shortcut will then be created (66) at the selected location.

In the example, it is assumed that the user has selected one of the keys 25 for access to a radio station.

The device then creates a shortcut to the selected location on the second touch screen 12.2 (according to the first or second embodiment.

In the example, a sixth shortcut 56 appears in place of the third shortcut 53 previously displayed.
