Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to laminated glazings, consisting of several transparent sheets of glass, polymer or equivalent, secured to each other by interlayer adhesive layers, in particular polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or polyurethane (PU). The manufacture of laminated glazing includes known operations for shaping flat glass in a float or other type process, cutting glass, bending / tempering, shaping (the edges of glass sheets). The assembly of the laminate consists of interposing between flexible transparent sheets possibly curved adhesive sheets 15 cut to the appropriate dimensions, to heat the assembly, degassing the adhesive interlayer by suction, and optionally squeeze the main faces of the laminate. Today, this assembly is performed after shaping all the transparent sheets rigid. The shaping consists of rounding the edges 20 of these sheets by abrasion. The post-forming assembly produces a particular profile, which will be illustrated hereinafter, and which may reveal a concavity in certain parts of the edge of the laminate. Today we have obtained a new profile, avoiding the possibility of such a concavity. To this end, the subject of the invention is a laminated glazing unit comprising at least two sheets of glass or polymer material joined together by at least one interlayer adhesive layer, characterized in that the edge of the laminated glazing exhibits no concavity and is composed exclusively of 30 shaped portions of the edge of said sheets and said layer. The sheets of glass material may consist of float glass, for example soda-lime or other, spinel, sapphire, glass-ceramic ... As polymeric material is used for example polycarbonate (PC), an acrylic polymer such as poly (methyl methacrylate) ) (PMMA), an ionomer resin ... The interlayer adhesive layer is for example polyvinyl butyral (PVB) between two sheets of glass material, polyurethane (PU) between a sheet of glass material and a polymer material (organic). These examples are not limiting; on the contrary, all constitutions of known or contemplated laminated glazings are within the scope of the invention. The laminated glazing unit of the invention comprises the usual functional features, such as antireflection layers, thermal control (antisolar, low-emissive), antifouling (photocatalytic, hydrophobic, hydrophilic), bore for gripping member (sliding glazing), de-icing-demisting , implicitly, the term glazing designates a part at least 15 of the transparent surface, that is to say of the characteristics of light transmission and of blurring usually applied to this term. With respect to the adhesive layer (s) interlayer (s), the sheets of glass material or polymer are substantially rigid. These can be more than two in number, in the constitution of glazing for 20 air transport vehicles, security anti-penetration, burglar-proof, armored ballistic resistance, etc. The laminated glazing of the invention is distinguished by the fact that its edge has no concavity and is composed exclusively of shaped parts of the edge of its sheets of glass or polymeric material and its adhesive layer (s) or (s) spacer (s) component (s). Thus the convex edge of the laminated glazing can be obtained by shaping after assembly of the laminate. It is then easy to avoid concavities of the singing of the laminated glazing, likely to retain water or any residue, which can affect the cohesion of the laminate and promote delamination. Preferably, the laminated glazing unit of the invention is curved. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a laminated glazing described above, characterized in that the shaping of the edge of the laminated assembled, that is to say after bonding of its constituents between them. When the laminated glazing is curved, the shaping is performed in a complex three-dimensional geometry.
Another object of the invention consists in the application of a laminated glazing described above as glazing for land, air or aquatic transport vehicle, for the building, street furniture (bus shelter, partition, parapet ...) , interior and public furnishings (furniture, shelves, shower cabins, aquarium, toilets, billboard ...), household appliances io (refrigerator shelf ...), electronics (television screen, computer
The invention is illustrated by the accompanying drawings in which - Figure 1 shows schematically in section a laminated glazing according to the known prior art, - Figure 2 is a schematic sectional representation of a laminated glazing according to the invention. The two laminated glazings of FIGS. 1 and 2 consist of two sheets of soda-lime float glass 1 and 2 bonded to one another by an adhesive layer 3 of polyvinyl butyral (PVB).
Each of the sheets 1 and 2 of FIG. 1 has a rounded edge obtained by shaping, i.e. action of an abrasive tool, prior to assembly of the laminate. The edge of the laminated glazing unit in FIG. 1 has a concavity 4 capable of retaining in particular any liquid, so as to weaken the PVB layer in the long term and favor the delamination of the assembly. The profile of the edge of the laminated glazing unit of FIG. 2 is convex on the contrary, allowing the flow elimination of any liquid coming into contact with it. This song is obtained by shaping the assembled laminated glazing.
The latter is curved, so that the shaping is not done in a plane, but in a more complex geometry, in three dimensions (volume).
