DISPOSITIF ET PROCÉDÉ POUR BÂCHER/DÉBÂCHER UNE BENNE À TOIT OUVERT MONTÉEDEVICE AND METHOD FOR PICKING UP / UNLOCKING OPENED ROOF BENCH
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a tarpaulin device for an open roof bucket such as a removable bucket mounted on a loading platform of a vehicle equipped with a hydraulic arm. The invention extends to a method for roofing / unclogging a vehicle-mounted skip, and to a vehicle equipped with such a device. Throughout the text, an open roof bucket means an open-top box adapted to contain goods, materials, etc. Vehicles for transporting dumpsters are generally provided with a covering device so as to allow a covering of the bucket which ensures in particular a protection of the cargo loaded in the bucket against the weather during transport. Of course, throughout the text, it is necessary to understand by tarpaulin device of a bucket, a device adapted to cover and unclog a bucket. US 5,292,169 describes such a covering device which comprises a telescopic mast surmounted by a storage compartment of a tarpaulin, a pair of lateral poles whose upper ends are integrally connected to the tarpaulin and the lower ends are associated with means for actuating the poles able to drive them in motion to induce movement of the cover between a position in which it is retracted into the storage compartment and a position in which it completely covers the removable body.
Par exemple, US 2004/0207230, US 2003/0193208, US 5 829 818, US 5 752 735 et GB 2 405 126 décrivent de tels dispositifs. The general principle of this device which consists in providing, on the lateral edges of the vehicle loading platform, poles for driving the tarpaulin from a retracted position to an extended position and vice versa, is widely used in the state. of the technique. For example, US 2004/0207230, US 2003/0193208, US 5,829,818, US 5,752,735 and GB 2,405,126 describe such devices. These devices have a major disadvantage. They require the vehicle to move with the driving poles in the deployed position, the latter being integrally associated with the sheet and ensuring the maintenance of the sheet in the deployed position. Therefore, these various devices sheeting are likely to hinder in part the free movement of the vehicle on which they are arranged. In particular, the driving poles being arranged on the lateral edges of the load platform of the vehicle so that the removable bucket can be placed between the poles, they participate in increasing the total width of the vehicle. However, the legislation (in particular Article R312-20 of the French Highway Code) teaches that the width of the load of a vehicle, measured as any protrusions included in any cross section, must not exceed a certain dimension (in particular 2 , 55 meters). This restriction extends to all European roads. Most skips have been designed with this width of 2.55 meters, it is impossible in Europe to convey them with vehicles equipped with these devices tarpaulin.
The use of one of these tarpaulins therefore limits the type of skips that can be conveyed by the vehicle, the width of the latter to be chosen so that the width of the poles increases, it respects the European regulations in road safety. EP 0 581 512 attempts to overcome this problem by providing for this purpose, in addition to driving poles of the tarpaulin from the retracted position to the deployed position, transverse displacement means of these poles so as to allow a lateral displacement of poles to bring them as close as possible to the side faces of the bucket once the sheeting has been done. It nevertheless remains, on the one hand, that the poles are always located projecting in the width of the vehicle, which prevents the conveying of the buckets, in particular of 2.55 meters wide, and on the other hand, that the poles are deployed during conveying to maintain the tarpaulin in the deployed position. The technical problem of the width of the vehicle is partly solved by WO 2004/080742 which provides means for transverse displacement of the poles between a retracted position where they are housed under the bucket and an operational position in which the poles can be actuated to proceed. to the tarpaulin of the bucket. The poles being firmly attached to the sheet, the device provides two retracted positions: a retracted position when the sheet is retracted and a retracted position when the sheet is deployed. The poles consist of two arms, a lower arm associated with actuating means adapted to move it and an upper arm fixed to the sheet, and forming a right angle between them so that in the retracted position deployed, the upper arms of each of the poles are positioned along the rear wall of the bucket and the lower arms are under the bucket. Therefore, in the retracted position, no member connected to the sheeting device extends in width beyond the side walls of the conveyed bodies so that the sheeting device is no longer an obstacle to the transport of the buckets of 2, 55 meters wide. This device nevertheless has two disadvantages. On the one hand, it requires the 'vehicle to circulate with the upper arms poles positioned at the rear of the bucket, which prevents for certain types of skips to proceed to the opening of the rear panel of the bucket as the tarpaulin is in the deployed position, the upper arms obstructing the opening of the door. On the other hand, such a device is not effective for the sheeting of a non-vertical rear wall bucket. Indeed, the arms of each pole forming between them a fixed angle of the order of 90, when the lower arm is in the retracted position, the upper arm must be glued along the wall of the bucket at a right angle, this which is impossible if the wall is inclined as is the case of the dumpsters. Also, the main object of the invention is to provide a tarpaulin device which makes it possible to cover / unclog any type of skip, whatever its size and shape. Another object of the invention is to provide a tarpaulin device which allows the conveying of all types of skips, including those whose width corresponds to the maximum width authorized by the European safety standards. Another object of the invention is to provide a covering device which limits the friction between the sheet and the edges of the bucket so as to preserve the integrity of the sheet. Another object of the invention is to provide a simple device to be implemented by a single man.
Another object of the invention is to provide an economic covering device. Another object of the invention is to provide a tarpaulin device which can be mounted on a vehicle already equipped with a hydraulic device for removable buckets, in particular meeting the French standard NF R17-107 and the German standard DIN 30722. To do this, a device for covering an open roofed container, mounted on a vehicle according to the invention comprises: a tarpaulin, a storage compartment for this tarpaulin, an articulated mechanism adapted to move the tarpaulin, a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, between a position in which it is retracted into the storage compartment and a position in which it is deployed and covers said open roof of said bucket, - transverse displacement means of said mechanism articulated between a retracted position in which it is housed under the bucket and an operational position, laterally remote from the bucket, in which it can be operated p for tarpaulin / unclog said bucket. A covering device according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises: reversible coupling means between said articulated mechanism and said cover, means for holding said cover in the deployed position independently of the articulated mechanism so as to allow uncoupling between said articulated mechanism and said cover and a return of said articulated mechanism in the retracted position, the cover being held in the deployed position.
A tarpaulin device according to the invention thus makes it possible not only to cover any type of bucket, whatever its shape and dimensions, but also allows a vehicle equipped with such a device to circulate on the roads, in particular European roads, with the tarpaulin deployed and the articulated mechanism in the retracted position. A sheeting device according to the invention therefore no longer has the problems of the prior art related to the dangerous or cumbersome position of the articulated mechanism when the sheet is in the deployed position. In addition, a sheeting device according to the invention allows a vehicle equipped with the latter to convey the skips whose width is equal to the maximum of the width allowed by the legislation. Throughout the text, the sheeting device according to the invention mounted on a vehicle is described by considering the vehicle placed on a horizontal floor. In addition, the vehicle on which is mounted a removable bucket has a longitudinal direction corresponding to its normal direction of travel. The front of the bucket corresponds to the part of the bucket located towards the front of the vehicle, that is to say to the part of the vehicle which generally comprises the cab of the vehicle, and the back of the bucket corresponds to the part of the body located towards the rear of the vehicle. The bottom of the bucket is the part of the bucket that rests on the vehicle and the top of the bucket is the opposite part of the bucket that includes the open roof to receive the tarpaulin. Advantageously and according to the invention, said cover comprises a first end secured to said storage compartment and a second end, said drive end, adapted to be driven by said articulated mechanism, and said holding means of said tarpaulin in the deployed position comprise fastening means of said drive end of the tarpaulin to the rear of the bucket, adapted to maintain said tarpaulin in the deployed position independently of the articulated mechanism. It is easy for a single man to attach the drive end of the tarpaulin to the back of the bucket. In addition, attaching the drive end to the rear of the bucket is a simple, effective and economical way to ensure a holding of the tarpaulin in the deployed position, regardless of the articulated mechanism. Advantageously and according to the invention, said articulated mechanism comprises at least one pole whose one end is adapted to be articulated relative to the chassis of the vehicle so as to allow, once the mechanism articulated in operational position, a pivoting of the pole around said horizontal transverse axis, an initial position in which the other end of the pole, said attachment end, is positioned towards the front of the bucket and is adapted to be coupled to said drive end of the tarpaulin, to a position, said pivoted position, wherein said attachment end of the pole is positioned towards the rear of the bucket. The articulated mechanism comprises a boom with articulated arms, the boom itself being hinged relative to the frame along a horizontal transverse axis which allows pivoting of the boom about this axis from an initial position to a pivoted position. In retracted position under the bucket, the articulated mechanism is substantially horizontal so as to be housed under the bucket. Once in operational position, the end of the pole articulated relative to the frame is the part of the pole closest to the ground. The other end of the pole is adapted to be able to be coupled to the drive end of the cover and to be released from the drive end of the cover, allows, once the sheet maintained in the deployed position, to proceed to simple and fast disconnection between the pole and the tarpaulin, thus allowing a return of the pole, released from the cover, in the retracted position. A tarpaulin device according to the invention comprises, in an economical version, a single articulated boom. However, it can be provided a second articulated boom so that in the operative position, the articulated mechanism has a perch on each side of the bucket.
Advantageously and according to the invention, each pole comprises at least two arms articulated to each other, a lower arm whose one end is adapted to be articulated relative to the frame so as to allow the pivoting of the pole about said axis horizontal transverse of said initial position to said pivoted position and an upper arm comprising a transverse cross member whose one end forms said attachment end and is adapted to be coupled to the cover and to be released from the cover. The crossbar arranged at the end of an upper arm of a pole allows the articulated mechanism to effectively drive the deployment of the tarpaulin. Indeed, the attachment end of the cross member is connected to the center of the drive end of the cover, which ensures a distribution of efforts on the cover. Advantageously and according to the invention, for each pole, the arms are articulated to each other in a pivot connection axis parallel to the horizontal transverse pivot axis of the pole, so that the movement of each boom is in a substantially vertical longitudinal plane. Advantageously and according to the invention, each boom comprises an elastic return device adapted to maintain, between a lower arm and an immediately upper arm hinged thereto, a constant and maximum angle in the absence of an external force, so that the attachment end of the pole is located, during the displacement of the cover from the retracted position to the deployed position, above the highest point of the bucket. The presence of an elastic return device thus ensures that the displacement of the cover from the retracted position to the deployed position and reciprocally occurs while maintaining the cover above and away from the bucket, which minimizes friction between the tarp and the different edges of the bucket. The integrity of the tarpaulin is thus preserved. Advantageously and according to the invention, the sheeting device comprises maneuvering means adapted to allow a user to exert on the upper arm of the pole, a force capable of causing compression of the elastic return device so as to reduce the angle between the different arms of each pole and allow positioning of the tarpaulin on the upper edges of the bucket by a movement from top to bottom without lateral friction.
During the deployment of the tarpaulin, the boom provided with an elastic return device moves the tarpaulin above the bucket so that the tarpaulin does not contact the edges of the bucket. An operator placed at the rear of the vehicle can, once the tarpaulin is deployed, actuate the means of maneuver adapted to compress the elastic return device so that the upper arm of the pole at the end of which is coupled the tarpaulin gets closer to the ground by marrying the contours of the bucket. The sheeting device according to the invention thus makes it possible, on the one hand to cover any type of bucket, whatever the height of the latter, the elastic return device ensuring a maximum separation of the arms in a tarpaulin situation, and on the other hand, to position the sheet without friction on the bucket by the actuation of the maneuvering means. Advantageously and according to the invention, the elastic return device consists of at least one passive gas cylinder adapted to, on the one hand, be compressed by means of a force exerted by a user on the upper arm of the boom, and secondly resume its initial rest in the absence of said external force Advantageously and according to the invention, said attachment end of each pole comprises a fastening means adapted to cooperate with a means of conjugate fastener arranged at the drive end of the cover The two conjugate attachment means arranged respectively at the end of the pole and at the end of the cover allow a user to perform manually and without tools , on the one hand the coupling, and on the other hand the separation between the pole and the cover.
Advantageously and according to the invention, said drive end of the cover comprises a ring and said attachment end of each pole comprises a conjugate grip hook adapted to pass into the ring and mate or release . Advantageously and according to the invention, the maneuvering means comprise a pulling rope, one end of which is fixed to said ring of the drive end of the cover, and the other end, said operating end, is adapted to be operated by an operator, once the boom in the rotated position, so as to compress the gas cylinder (s) ensuring a positioning of the tarpaulin on the upper edges of the bucket in a movement from top to bottom.
The tow rope combined with the gas cylinder (s) allows a single man to simply proceed to the positioning of the tarpaulin on the roof of the bucket without friction by pulling on the rope pulling through the attaches ring / hook, compressing the gas spring. Advantageously and according to the invention, the fastening means of the cover comprise a fastening rope, one end of which is fixed to the ring of the driving end of the cover, and the other end, called the fixing end, is adapted to be attached by an operator to the back of the bucket. Advantageously and according to the invention, the sheeting device comprises a single rope which forms both the operating means and the fixing means so as to allow an operator to compress the gas cylinder (s) and to attach the tarpaulin to the back of the bucket in a continuous motion. Advantageously and according to the invention, at least one pole comprises a device for catching the rope and for returning the latter in the longitudinal plane of movement of this pole, this device being adapted to return said rope when the maneuvering means and fasteners are not operated by an operator. The device for returning the rope in the plane of the longitudinal travel of the pole facilitates the operations of moving the tarpaulin from the retracted position to the deployed position and vice versa by positioning the rope on the sides of the bucket, which makes it possible to guard against a possible blocking of the rope between the bucket and the tarpaulin at the beginning or at the end of displacement of the tarpaulin. Advantageously and according to the invention, the storage compartment of the tarpaulin is mounted on a telescopic mast fixed to the vehicle in front of the bucket. A telescopic mast arranged in front of the bucket also minimizes friction between the tarpaulin and the upper front edge of the bucket. Indeed, at the beginning of the tarpaulin, the telescopic mast is placed in the upper position, which allows to deploy the tarpaulin without the latter does not come to rub on the upper edge. Once the deployment is complete, the telescopic mast is lowered to the bottom position so that the tarpaulin covers the entire open roof of the bucket. Advantageously and according to the invention, the storage compartment of the tarpaulin comprises a retractor provided with a device for returning the tarpaulin in the retracted position, said retractor provided with said device for returning the tarpaulin being adapted to ensure the displacement of the cover from the extended position to the retracted position as the boom moves from the rotated position to the initial position. The presence of a retractor makes it easier to return the tarpaulin to the retracted position. Advantageously and according to the invention, it comprises an actuating device associated with the transverse displacement means and the articulated mechanism adapted to operate respectively the displacement of the articulated mechanism between the retracted position and the operational position and the displacement of this articulated mechanism for to cover / unclog said bucket. FIG. 1 shows a vehicle 1 on which is loaded a skip 4 with an open roof and comprising a tarpaulin device 2 in the retracted position under the skip 4. In the example shown, the skip 4 is a removable skip 4 mounted on the vehicle 1 through a hydraulic device 36 integral with the vehicle 1 and complying with the French standard NF R17-107 or German DIN 30722, and comprising in particular an arm 37 pivotally mounted about a horizontal transverse axis relative to the frame of the vehicle 1, and moved by a hydraulic cylinder 38. The arm 37 comprises a beam 37a adapted to extend longitudinally under the bucket 4, extended by a post 37b substantially orthogonal to the beam 37a and able to extend substantially vertically towards the high along the vertical wall 39 before the bucket 4. The cylinder 38 is on one side coupled to the beam 37a and on the other, hinged to the chassis of the vehicle. The amount 37b forms, at its upper end, a hook 40 adapted to cooperate with a fastening bar 41 secured to the front wall 39 of the bucket 4 so as to allow the loading of the bucket 4 on the chassis of the vehicle 1 or its Unloading from the chassis of the vehicle 1. Figures 1 to 4 show a partial tear to illustrate the hook 40 of the apparatus 36. The device 2 covering comprises a telescopic mast 5 surmounted by a storage compartment 7 of a tarpaulin 8. The device 2 tarpaulin according to the invention is intended to allow to deploy the tarpaulin 8 on the bucket 4 so as to ensure a sheeting of the bucket 4; and allow the tarpaulin 8 to be driven into the storage compartment 7 in such a way as to release the skip 4. FIG. 2 shows the same vehicle equipped with the tarpaulin device 2 whose tarpaulin 8 is being deployed via an articulated mechanism 3. The articulated mechanism 3 comprises a boom comprising a lower arm 15, an upper arm 16 at one end of which a crossbar 19 is arranged. The lower and upper arms 15 are hinged together by means of a longitudinal pivot axis 17. transverse. In addition, these lower and upper arms 16 are connected to each other by an elastic return device 14. This elastic return device 14 is adapted to maintain between the lower arm and the upper arm 16 a constant and maximum angle θ in the absence of an external force, this angle θ being adapted to ensure that the deployment of the sheet 8 does not generate lateral friction between the sheet 8 and the upper edges 33 of the body 4. To do this, the return device 14 holds between the lower arm and the upper arm 16 an angle such that the end 9 of associated with the upper arm 16 is located during the displacement of the tarpaulin above the top of the bucket 4. This elastic return device 14 is also adapted to be compressed by the action of an external operator on the arm 16 for example, which causes the decrease of the angle θ between the lower arm 15 and the upper arm 16 thus lowering the attachment end 9 associated with the upper arm 16 and a salt pose there is a movement up and down the cover 8 on the upper edges 33 of the bucket 4 without lateral friction.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, this elastic return device 14 is a passive gas cylinder, that is to say, not supplied with gas. According to other embodiments of the present invention, the elastic return device 14 is a leaf spring, coil, helical or any elastic element capable of deforming by traction or compression, to store elastic potential energy and to restore it by resuming its primitive form at rest. According to the embodiment of the figures, the angle θ formed by the two arms in an uncompressed situation is of the order of 100 degrees. The latter can of course be chosen, depending on the choice of gas cylinder and the position of the latter on each of the two arms so that the angle 0 in a rest situation has another value. An angle 0 too small loses its interest and an angle 0 too large will require to develop a significant force to compress the gas cylinder. The lower arm 15 of the boom is, as shown in Figure 5, hinged to a support bar 34 extending in the longitudinal direction and having a U-shaped cross section so that it can accommodate a cylinder 12 hydraulic associated with a hydraulic device 6. A first end of this hydraulic jack 12 is fixed in the U of the support bar 34, at one end of this support bar 34 and the other end of this hydraulic jack 12 is fixed on the lower arm 15 of the pole, the lower end of the lower arm being itself fixed on the support bar in a pivot connection, at the opposite end of the connection between the hydraulic cylinder 12 and the support bar 34. In this way, the actuation of the cylinder 12 hydraulic provides for pivoting of the pole about the horizontal transverse axis 26. When the pole is in the non-pivoted position, the hydraulic jack 12 is housed in the U of the support bar, and when it is put into action, it deploys, which causes the deployment of the pole, one end of the jack being fixed on the lower arm of the pole. According to the embodiment of the figures, the support piece is a rod extending in the longitudinal direction and has a U-shaped cross section, so as to allow the cylinder to be accommodated when the pole is in the initial non-pivoted position, but may according to other embodiments have the form of a horizontal support plate or any other type of shape.
The other end of the support piece 34 is integral with a translation guide piece 35 extending in the transverse horizontal direction, said guide piece being adapted to slide in a hollow crossmember integral with the vehicle frame and extending in the horizontal transverse direction. The hollow cross member is integral with the vehicle frame and extends in the horizontal transverse direction so that it is under the skip 4 open roof once the latter mounted on the chassis of the vehicle. A hydraulic jack 13 arranged in the transverse direction makes it possible, when it is actuated, to move the guide piece 35 in translation in the hollow crossmember, by presenting a first end integral with the hollow crossmember 30 and another end secured to the support part 34. The displacement of the guide piece 35, integral with the support piece 34 on which the boom is articulated, in the hollow crosspiece 30, performs, according to the advantageous embodiment of the invention as shown in the figures, the movement of the mechanism 3. articulated between a retracted position in which the articulated mechanism 3 is housed under the bucket 4 and an operational position in which the articulated mechanism 3 can be pivoted about the pivot axis 26. According to another embodiment, not shown, of According to the invention, the support member 34 may have a plurality of guide pieces 35 extending in the transverse direction and cooperating with hollow crosspieces 30 for moving in the transverse direction. According to another embodiment not shown, the pivot axis of the articulated mechanism relative to the frame is formed by a hinge carried directly by the frame, the hinge itself carrying a guide crossbar associated with the guide piece so to perform the transverse translation of the articulated mechanism. In other words, according to this variant embodiment, the translation guide of the articulated mechanism is carried by the pivoting articulation of the latter. The articulated mechanism 3 may according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention be associated with locking means of the mechanism 3 articulated in the retracted position so that during transport, the articulated mechanism 3 remains well housed under the bucket 4. These locking means may for example comprise a hook arranged on the vehicle frame which is fixed on the support member 34 once the mechanism 3 articulated in the retracted position so as to prohibit, without unlocking, the movement of the latter. the retracted position at the operational position. Figure 6 shows a perspective view three-quarter front of a sheeting device according to the invention equipping a vehicle 1 on which is mounted a skip 4 open roof. At the front of the bucket 4 is a telescopic mast 5 surmounted by a compartment 7 for storing a tarpaulin 8. The storage compartment 7 advantageously comprises a retractor on which the tarpaulin 8 is wound in the retracted position. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, this winder is an automatic spring winder, possibly equipped with a stop pawl, pneumatic, hydraulic or electric. According to another embodiment of the present invention, this winder is a manual winder, such as a flywheel.
The cover 8 shown in Figure 7 has a drive end 9 comprising a ring 31 adapted to cooperate with a hook 18 arranged at one end of the crossbar 19 of the pole. The other end of the cover 8 is connected to the storage device and is ideally connected to the associated winder. The ring 31 and the hook 19 allow on the one hand to ensure the coupling of the pole and the cover 8 during the displacement of the cover 8 from the retracted position to the deployed position and reciprocally, and secondly , separating the pole from the cover 8 when the latter is in the deployed position and held extended by a rope 10 adapted to secure the drive end 9 of the tarpaulin to the rear of the body. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the rope 10 is associated with a device 25 for restoring the rope 10 along the mechanism 3 hinged so that the rope 10 does not get jammed inside the rope. 4, for example against the rear wall of the bucket 4, during the deployment of the tarpaulin 8. The return position of the rope 10 is shown in Figure 10. The device 25 for returning the rope 10, can according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprising an automatic winder on which can wind up a return strand whose one end is fixed to the winder and the other end is equipped with a carabiner-type device that a operator can come to place on the rope 10 to remind the latter. This return device is advantageously arranged at the junction between the upper arm and the crossbar 19 so that it can recall the rope in the deflection plane of the pole.
A sheeting device according to the invention is used as follows for covering a skip 4 with an open roof. In the initial state, the sheeting device is stored under the bucket 4 not covered by the tarpaulin 8. The first step is to unlock the latch 30 of the articulated mechanism 3. The second step consists in actuating the transverse displacement means 11 of the mechanism 3 articulated in a transverse direction A so as to move the articulated mechanism 3 from the retracted position to the operational position. The third step is to deploy the telescopic mast in a vertical direction B so that the storage compartment 7 overlying the latter is found above the bucket 4 to avoid friction between the tarpaulin 8 and the upper edges 33 The fourth step is to actuate the rotation of the pole about the axis of pivoting, represented by the direction C in Figure 6. The fifth step is, once the mechanism 3 hinged end of the race 10, to make the rope 10 maneuver by an operator so that by its action of traction following a movement from top to bottom, as represented by the direction D, it compresses the cylinder 14 to passive gas, which has for effect of positioning by a movement from top to bottom without noticeable lateral friction the cover 8 on the upper edges 33 of the bucket 4. In the same momentum, the operator can fix the cover 8 at the rear of the b enne 4, for example on the closing mechanism of the rear wall of the bucket 4 as shown in Figure 7.
The sixth step consists in actuating the mechanism 3 hinged in a reverse rotation about the axis 26. The hook 18 arranged at the end of the crosspiece 19 will then naturally separate from the ring 31 arranged at the end of the tarpaulin 8 since the latter is fixedly held by the rope 10.
The last step is to actuate the means 11 of transverse displacement and to lock the mechanism 3 articulated so that the vehicle can transport the tipper body without any body of the sheeting device is likely to impede the good circulation of the vehicle.
The procedure to undo includes the following steps: The first step is to unlock the articulated mechanism 3. The second step consists in moving the articulated mechanism 3 laterally by actuating the means 11 for transverse displacement.
The third step is to bring the mechanism 3 hinged to the rear of the bucket 4 by rotating around the axis 26 of the pole. The fourth step is to detach the rope 10 from the rear of the bucket 4, while maintaining its tension and engage on the end of the pole. To do this, a sheeting device according to the invention advantageously comprises at the end of the pole and as shown in Figure 7, a bracket 20 for retaining the rope 10. An operator can then engage the rope 10 on the square 20 for retaining the rope 10 as shown in FIG.
The fifth step is to couple the hook arranged at the end of the pole with the ring arranged at the drive end of the cover. To do this, the operator actuates the rotation of the pole until the pole comes into contact with the end of the rope 10, which slides during this operation on the retaining bracket 20. The hook 18 of the pole then engages naturally in the ring 31 of the end of the cover 8, as shown in FIG. 9. The operator must then disengage the rope from the retaining bracket 20 in the simply moving to the right or to the left, depending on the position of the retaining bracket 20 on the pole. The sixth step then consists in operating the rotation of the pole again so as to drive the sheet 8 into the storage compartment 7, as represented in FIG. 10. The last step consists, once the sheet 8 has been retracted into the storage compartment 7, to actuate the means 11 of transverse displacement so as to reposition the mechanism 3 hinged in the retracted position. The bucket 4 is then ready to be unloaded from the vehicle.
A covering device according to the invention is not limited to the described embodiments only. In particular, a sheeting device may comprise two poles, one on each side of the vehicle associated with means for transverse displacement of this pole from a retracted position to an operational position. A covering device according to the invention is more particularly and advantageously intended for vehicles for transporting removable buckets. However, it may nevertheless apply to fixed dump vehicles.
