Abstract

  BUILDING SECURITY EQUIPMENT.

  The present invention relates to the field of building security. It is known, and even compulsory, to equip buildings frequented by the public with different security means: early extinction means

  fire, signage, emergency lighting.

  These means are, in the prior art, independent means. The architect or the owner implements these different means according to his experience, in order to

  meet security requirements and standards.

  The installation of these means is carried out by different trades: electrician, mason. These trades are not security specialists, and the installation of these means may present a lack of consistency, resulting in a degradation of the security level. The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback, by proposing an integrated safety block, bringing together in the form of a single device the means of

  security must cooperate in the event of a problem.

  To this end, the invention relates in its most general sense, to an integrated safety device characterized in that it is constituted by a box having a means for attaching a fire extinguisher, an emergency lighting means as well at least one signage means. The box is made of a resistant material

  fire type "M0" and preferably rot-proof.

  The lighting means can be integrated into the device, or be constituted by an area lit by a pre-existing safety lighting block. This last

  solution is particularly suitable for a device

  intended to be housed in a niche in a wall.

  Combining these means into a single, integrated device produces several new technical effects: First, it ensures the visibility of the signaling and extinguishing means by using an autonomous power source and a way

unique emergency lighting.

  Then, it makes it possible to group all the security means at a strategic point, so as to offer the

  public first aid.

  Finally, it makes it possible to industrialize the security means which can be implemented easily, without recourse

to experts.

  According to an advantageous variant, the integrated safety device according to claim 1 characterized in

  what it includes an autonomous power supply.

  According to a first alternative embodiment, the device according to the invention comprises a base for forming

a security terminal.

  According to a second alternative embodiment, the device according to the invention has means for

  installation in a wall cavity.

  Advantageously, the device according to the invention has on its front face a signage formed by a

engraved secure glass plate.

  Preferably, the lighting means are arranged so as to illuminate the signage means as well as the fire extinguisher. According to a preferred variant, the lighting means is constituted by a fluorescent lamp arranged in the

  upper part of the device for producing on the one hand diffusing lighting and on the other hand means lighting

signage and fire extinguisher.

  The device represented by way of example of the invention in FIG. 1 consists of a box (1) resting on a base (2) to form a terminal having a

  height of about 1900 mm and a width of about 1000 mm.

  The box is made of 15/10 lacquered sheet. It has a housing (3) for receiving a fire extinguisher (4). The rear face of the housing (3) has for this purpose an additional hook by means of attachment of the extinguisher (4). It is made of any fire-resistant material, in particular a

"MO" approved material.

  A nameplate (5) of etched glass is fixed to the upper part of the housing, at a height corresponding substantially to the height of a person's eyes. This rating plate (5) is made of

  safety glass. The indications are carried by engraving.

  It may include an arrow indicating emergency exits, or a plan of the building, or any indication

  necessary for public safety.

  The upper part of the box has a translucent plate (6). The upper part incorporates a fluorescent lamp powered by a backup battery housed in the lower part of the device. The upper part of the device is opened or closed by a transparent or translucent plate to allow lighting

diffuse security.

  The upper part also opens downwards so that the nameplate is illuminated

(5) as well as the fire extinguisher (4).

  The nameplate made of safety glass has a light guide effect ensuring

  excellent readability even under limited lighting.

  Figure 2 shows a top view of the device. It has a depth of about 150 mm. It can be pressed against a wall (8) against which it is

  held in place by screws or any other equivalent means.

  Figure 3 shows a top view of an alternative embodiment. The device is integrated into a recess (9) in the wall. In this case, it does not include

  no base, and may have a smaller width.

  The invention is described in the foregoing by way of nonlimiting example. A person skilled in the art will be able to produce different variants without leaving the

part of the invention.
