Abstract

The label (2) has an adhesive backing (4) and a release layer (3). The label and backing have closed score lines defining an outer main label and an inner sub label. The label and release layer have a superimposed score line (10,11) connecting to a cut out line in the label proper. The release layer has small cut lines (14,14') superimposed on a cut line (5) of the label (2).

Description

 The invention relates to an adhesive label provided with at least one secondary label with a gripping zone for later use.

 I1 appeared quite interesting for many applications, to be able to use at least a portion of adhesive label after affixing it on the support intended to receive it.

 This is why we have imagined an adhesive label formed of a sheet, the back of which is covered with a layer of adhesive protected by a protector formed by a protective sheet which is not very adherent, the sheet and the protector each having all its thickness at least one closed cutting or precut line, the inner cut area of the protector which is delimited by the cutting line of said protector being larger and superimposed on the inner cut area of the sheet which is delimited by the cutting line of said sheet in such a way that by carrying out the separation of the sheet and its protector, the interior cut area of the protector remains stuck to the adhesive back of the sheet and detaches from the rest of the protector, the area outside said cut line of the sheet constituting a primary label, while the interior cut-out area of said sheet constitutes a secondary label detachable from the main label after application and bonding of the latter to the support intended to receive it.

 It is then understood that each secondary label can thus be used later.

 The applications of such a label are quite multiple.

 For example in stock management, the main label can be affixed to the package and the secondary label (s) can then be affixed to an order or stock renewal register.

 In application to a waybill, the main label is intended for the package and at least one secondary label can be intended for the delivery note.

 Many other applications are obviously possible (analyzes, planning, ...).

 In order to more easily detach the secondary label or labels, it has been imagined to provide notches without hitherto reaching a suitable solution.

 To achieve this goal in particular, the invention provides an adhesive label of the aforementioned type, and which is remarkable in that the closed lines for cutting the sheet and respectively the protector, are exactly superimposed partly on at least one of the sides. intended to constitute the secondary label thereby forming a total cutting line while the sheet and the protector are each provided with a complementary cutting line joining the closed cutting line of the sheet and provided on either side of said total cutting line respectively towards the outside and inside of the secondary label, and that, in addition, the protector has small cutting lines superimposed on the sheet cutting line between the total cutting line and its complementary cutting line, a residual sheet strip and a residual protective strip being thus delimited between said total cutting line, l esaid complementary cutting lines and the small cutting lines so that by separating the sheet from its protector, the residual strip of sheet remains glued to said protector and creates a hole or a notch after gluing the label, while the secondary label is easily removable by catching through said hole the part of the sheet coated with the residual protective strip, which thus forms a gripping tab, said residual strip separating from the rest of the protective strip.

 According to an advantageous embodiment, each label can include at least two contiguous secondary labels along one of their sides consisting of a sheet cutting line, the total cutting lines and the cutting lines complementary to said secondary labels. being aligned so that the residual strips of protector and sheet of said labels are also aligned, while the protector has a cutting line between the total cutting line and the complementary cutting line of the protector, superimposed on said line cutting separating said secondary labels.

 With a view in particular to continuous production, the invention provides a label strip which is remarkable in that it consists of a support strip formed by a slightly adherent protector on which are applied several precut labels, each of between them having cutting or precut lines to form a main label and at least one secondary label, while the support protector also comprises cutting or precut lines which surround the secondary labels.

The invention will be clearly understood and other particularities will appear on reading the description which follows and which refers to the appended drawings in which:

 In the figures, we can see a label 1 according to the invention, consisting of a sheet of paper hereinafter called front 2, of a protector 3 formed of a sheet coated with a non-stick, based on example of silicone, while between the front 2 and the protector 3, an adhesive layer is shown schematically at 4 in FIG. 3.

 We understand that this is a complex formed of a front 2 whose back is coated with adhesive 4, which is protected by a protector 3.

 The protector 3 is here in the form of a strip on which several labels 1 are in fact applied (see part of the label 1 'shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 1 and 2), drive means which can be provided laterally on the protector 3 for continuous production, such as the perforations shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 1, 2 and 4. The front 2 can for example be applied in a strip, then cut and weeded to separate each label.

 The front 2 comprises a rectangular cutting line 5, and here an intermediate line 5 ′ thus determining on said front 2 two internal cut zones 6 ′, 6 "and an external zone 6.

 The outer zone 6 of the front 2, relative to the line 5, is intended to constitute the main adhesive label (or primary) and the inner zones 6 ′ and 6 ″, the secondary adhesive labels.

 The protector 3 has a cutting line 7 directly visible in FIG. 2 and in "transparency" in FIG. 1. This line 7 defines an interior cut zone 8 on said protector, which zone, as shown in the drawings, completely covers the zones 6 ', 6 "from the front 2.

 It can also be noted in the figures that the cutting line 5 of the front and the cutting line 7 of the protector are exactly superimposed at 9 on one side of the zones 6 ′ and 6 "thus creating a total cutting line (see in particular the figure 3).

 Furthermore, as FIGS. 1 and 2 clearly show, the protector 3 and the front 2 each have a complementary cutting line, respectively 10 and 11, formed on either side of the total cutting line 9, the line 10 of the protector being inside the zones 6 ′ and 6 "over their entire width while the line il of the front face is formed outside the said zones 6 ′, 6" relative to the said line 9.

 We can also see that the cutting lines 11 of the front and 10 of the protector join the cutting line 5. In fact, according to one manufacture, line 5 and line 11 are designed in one stroke and this is the line cutting 9 which is carried out separately.

 In addition, between the cutting line 9 and the complementary cutting line 10 of the protector, the latter has small cutting lines 14, 14 ′ and 14 "superimposed on the cutting line 5 of the front (for 14 and 14 ') and to the front cut line 5' (for 14 "), thus creating total cut lines (front and protective) at these places.

 In this way, the cutting line 9 and the cutting lines respectively 10 of the protector and 11 of the front create residual strips 12 of protector and 13 of the front respectively, the strip 12 being further delimited by the small cutting lines 14, 14 ', while the small line 14 "separates it in two.

 The use is now easy to understand.

 By separating the front 2 of the protector 3, the zone 8 of the latter will remain glued to the back of the front 2 and will detach from the rest of the protector 3, as shown more particularly in FIGS. 4 and 5, FIG. 4 showing the protector 3 provided a hole 8 ′ corresponding to its zone 8 delimited by the cutting line 7.

 The assembly thus separated from the protector, but then comprising part 8 thereof, can then be applied to any support (shown diagrammatically at 15 in FIG. 5), as mentioned at the start, by virtue of the adhesive coating on the back of the front 2 .

 As shown in Figure 4, given the total cutting line 9 and the cutting line 11 of the front, the residual strip 13 of the latter remains stuck on the residue of the protector thus creating a corresponding hole 13 ', visible on Figure 5.

 The subsequent use of the secondary labels 6 ′, 6 "is particularly easy.

 In fact, it suffices to catch the gripping tabs formed by the residual strip 12 of the protector and the corresponding part of the sheet 2 with the aid of the hole 13 'described above, the total cuts 14, 14' and 14 "separating well said front and protector tabs.

 The detachment of the labels then reveals the part 8 of the protector 3 on which said labels are weakly glued (FIG. 5) and these can then, as already specified, be glued on any other support.

 Many modifications or small variations can obviously be imagined or planned.

 This is of course, that there could be only one secondary label or on the contrary more than two.

 Furthermore, in particular for manufacturing reasons, the total cutting line 9 and / or the cutting line 10 of the protector may extend a little beyond zones 6 ′ and 6 ",

Claims (3)

 1) Adhesive label formed by a sheet (2) the back of which is covered with an adhesive layer (4) protected by a protector (3) formed by a slightly adherent protective sheet, the sheet (2) and the protector (3) each having, over its entire thickness, at least one closed cut or precut line (5 ;; 7), the cut interior area (8) of the protector being larger and superimposed on the cut interior area (6 ', 6 ") of the sheet in such a way that by separating the sheet (2) and its protector (3), the cut-out interior area (8) of the protector remains stuck to the adhesive back of the sheet and is detached from the rest of the protector, the outer zone (6) to said cutting line (5) of the sheet constituting a main label, while the inner cut zone (6 ', 6 ") of said sheet constitutes a secondary label detachable from the main label after application and pasting on the support (15) intended to receive it, characterized in that the closed cutting lines (5,7) of the sheet (2) and respectively of the protector (3), are exactly superimposed partly on at least one of the sides intended to constitute the secondary label thereby forming a total cutting line (9) while the sheet (2) and the protector (3) are each provided with a complementary cutting line (11; 10) joining the line cutting (5) closed from the sheet (2) and formed on either side of said total cutting line (9) respectively towards the outside and inside of the secondary label, and that in addition the protector (3) has small cutting lines (14,14 ') superimposed on the cutting line (5) of the sheet (2) between the total cutting line (9) and its complementary cutting line (10 ), a residual strip (13) of sheet and a residual strip (12) of protector thus being delimited between said l total cutting line (9), said complementary cutting lines (11; 10) and the small cutting lines (14,14 ') so that by separating the sheet (2) from its protector (3), the residual strip (13) of sheet remains stuck on said protector and creates a hole (13 ') or a notch after sticking the label, while the secondary label (6', 6 ") is easily removable by catching by said hole (13 ') the part of the sheet (2) coated with the residual strip of protector, which thus forms a gripping tab, said residual strip (12) separating from the rest of the protector (8).  2) Label according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises at least two secondary labels (6 ', 6 ") contiguous along one of their side consisting of a cutting line (5') of the sheet (2), the total cutting lines (9) and the complementary cutting lines (11; 10) of said secondary labels being aligned so that the residual strips (12,13) of protective and sheet of said labels are also aligned, while the protector (3) has a cutting line (14 ") between the total cutting line (9) and the complementary cutting line (10) of the protector, superimposed on said cutting line (5 ') separating said secondary labels.  3) Label strip according to one of claims 1 and 2, for continuous manufacture, characterized in that it is constituted by a support strip formed by a protector (3) not very adherent on which are applied several precut labels.
