Abstract

The electronic warning system consists of an operational amplifier with a window discriminator at its output to produce an alarm signal when the amplifier's output lies outside given limits. A bridge circuit is used to drive the operational amplifier and it contains a voltage divider (R3, R4) as codable quiescent current loop. Different combinations of resistance and the resulting different quiescent currents preserve the output signal of the amplifier. The small quiescent current change in the voltage divider (R3, R5, R6) and a corresp. change in the output signal of the operational amplifier within the limits of the window discriminator activates the warning system.
