Abstract

The spray has a container and a tube enlarged at the top, providing two bores, one housing a small diameter piston and the other a larger diameter. These are coupled together and operated by the pump handle. As they ascend, the lower small piston sucks up liquid and retains it until its lip seal enters the larger cylindrical bore. This has a partial vacuum due to the travel of the large piston, the liquid entering the chamber to be trapped and ejected under pressure as the pistons descend.
