Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for combining consignments for delivery in a delivery district according to claims 1 and 2.
- the delivery person at the delivery center sorts all or only subsets of the above-mentioned consignment classes (standard, large letters, non-machine-capable consignments) to one or more consignment stacks sorted in order of transshipment, usually two or three consignment stacks corresponding to the aforementioned consignment classes / consignment types.
- the deliverer must manually check all shipment batches to determine whether a shipment for a delivery point exists or not.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a method for combining consignments for a delivery district, which ensures the sequence of orders for several unavoidable consignment stacks and thus minimizes a manual check by the deliverer, so that the aforementioned disadvantages no longer occur.
- This method is used for postal service providers, in their delivery bases before the transfer to the deliverers still sorting are made, for example, for nmf broadcasts that arrive in unsorted manner in Zustellst Reifentician.
- the deliverer advances with multiple stacks of shipments, each stack being sorted according to the delivery points.
- This method of FIG. 1 enables the gang order to be secured for multiple unavoidable shipment stacks and a manual check by the deliverer is minimized.
- This method according to claim 2 is used for postal service providers who apply a high degree of automation in the letter centers and supply the delivery bases with packages sorted in order of sequence in stacks. This method allows the sequence of gears to be secured for multiple unavoidable shipment stacks and minimizes manual inspection by the deliverer.
- the method according to claim 1 and claim 2 has in common that the sequence of movements initially virtual in an information system is determined, without that the shipments must be processed in any way by: So there is no effort to handle the shipments in the stacks on. If necessary, the consignments contained in non-sorted stacks can still be sorted according to the delivery points for a sorting which is required in any case-for example manually for nmf items.
- the sorting order of the shipments 10 in a stack can also be considered as a gang order.
- the term "partial sequence" could also be used for this.
- the gait order relates to the overall order of the mail items 10 (in the various stacks 18.1, 18.2,%) To the delivery points 22 along a delivery route 24 in a delivery district 30, as shown in the overview in FIG FIG. 3 is shown.
- the items 10 must undergo a process-related division 12 according to their type of delivery. Usually, this distribution is limited to two or three types of shipment, four types of shipment are also possible. This is in FIG. 1 - as well as in the FIG. 2 with the broadcast streams 14.1, 14.2, 14.3 and incomplete designated 14.N. Each shipment stream 14.1, 14.2, ... contains a specific shipment type as explained above.
- the stored sort orders are virtually merged in the information system and stored as a gang order for the route in the delivery district 30 30 in particular.
- the merge must therefore be regarded as virtual because the consignments sorted per shipment type in their stacks 18.1, 18.2,... Initially remain unchanged and untouched.
- a print on the corresponding mailing 10 from the leading stack 18.2 can also be provided to mark a mailing 10.
- the other procedural steps and features according to the preceding paragraph remain identical except the process of printing instead of a repeated pass with the insertion of the separation cards 20.
- the information contained by the imprint can be differentiated than with eg two differently colored separation cards 20 configured: For example an indication of the number of shipments in the other stack for the same delivery point 22 or in special cases that for a delivery point 22 shipments are available in a further provided only for this delivery point 22 stack.
- This location information for a current delivery point 22 is transmitted to the information system 2 via a radio link 26, for example via a mobile radio network.
- information about the items 10 for the current delivery point 22 is transmitted by the information system 2.
- This specification includes at least the relevant stack 18.1, 18.2,... And may additionally include the number of shipments per stack 18.1, 18.2,.
- the information is transmitted in plain text to the deliverer, cf. FIG. 3 ,
- the information output can also be made tactile, namely by vibrating the information device 28. It is also possible a combination optically and tactile or a combination plaintext and tactile.

Abstract
At present, a delivery man / postman is provided with a plurality of delivery stacks (18.1, 18.2,...) Sorted according to the delivery points (22) for delivery in a delivery district (30). As a result, it must be checked manually at each delivery point (22) whether items (10) for the same delivery point (22) are still contained in other stacks (18.1, 18.2, ...). The present invention solves this problem by providing information to the deliverer during delivery that indicates, for each delivery point (22), items (10) in other batches (18.1, 18.2, ...). For this separation cards can be provided in a leading stack (18.2) or a completely IT-based solution with an information device (28).
Description
The present invention relates to a method for combining consignments for delivery in a delivery district according to
- Automatically processed consignments are sorted in sorting systems up to the gang order and transported in containers to the delivery points for delivery to the postman / deliverer.
- Infopost (also called mass mailings) contains pre-sorted items such as catalogs or brochures from major distributors. This Infopost is usually added to the shipment stream only in the incoming sorting. The objective is to provide the postman / deliverer as possible only one sorted in the sequence of order shipment stack. For reasons of time and due to the different shipment formats (standard letters, large letters, ...), the deliverer usually receives several sorted in the gang order shipment stack / container. Local shipments that remain in the mail center are sorted into the sequence of orders before the shipments arrive from the other mail centers and are sorted according to the gang order.
- Non-machine-capable shipments nmf are sorted manually at the departure to the inbound letter center. In the inbound letter center, these are then sorted on delivery depots / delivery districts and transported to the delivery depots. At the delivery center, these are presorted to the delivery districts / delivery routes.
Prior to the actual delivery, the delivery person at the delivery center sorts all or only subsets of the above-mentioned consignment classes (standard, large letters, non-machine-capable consignments) to one or more consignment stacks sorted in order of transshipment, usually two or three consignment stacks corresponding to the aforementioned consignment classes / consignment types. During delivery, the deliverer must manually check all shipment batches to determine whether a shipment for a delivery point exists or not.
This manual check is complex and reduces the delivery capacity. Likewise, such a manual check is error-prone and leads to the deliverer to considerable additional effort.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a method for combining consignments for a delivery district, which ensures the sequence of orders for several unavoidable consignment stacks and thus minimizes a manual check by the deliverer, so that the aforementioned disadvantages no longer occur.
This object is achieved by a method specified in the
- (A) vor der Zustellung der in der Mehrzahl von Stapeln (18.1, 18.2, ...) befindlichen Sendungen (10) wird die Sortierreihenfolge des wenigstens einen Stapels (18.1, 18.2, ...) erfasst und in einem Informationssystem (2) gespeichert;
- (B) nicht in sortierten Stapeln (18.1, 18.2, ...) enthaltene Sendungen (10) werden erfasst und als Sendungsdaten im Informationssystem (2) gespeichert;
- (D) falls mehrere Sendungen (10) für einen Zustellpunkt (22) in der Gangreihenfolge vorliegen, wird für eine Sendung dieser mehreren Sendungen eine Auszeichnung (20) gesetzt, wobei die Auszeichnung eine Angabe über die für diesen Zustellpunkt (22) vorgesehenen Sendungen (10) beinhaltet;
- the items (10) are contained in a plurality of stacks (18.1, 18.2, ...) and are present in at least one stack (18.1, 18.2, ...) in a sorting order,
- the sort order relates to delivery points (22) of the delivery area (30),
- (A) before the delivery of the consignments (10) located in the plurality of stacks (18.1, 18.2,...), The sorting sequence of the at least one stack (18.1, 18.2,...) Is detected and stored in an information system (2). saved;
- (B) shipments (10) not contained in sorted stacks (18.1, 18.2, ...) are recorded and stored as shipment data in the information system (2);
- (C) the at least one stored sort order and the shipment data are sorted in the information system according to the delivery points (22) and stored as a gang order,
- (D) if there are several shipments (10) for a delivery point (22) in the order of passage, an award (20) is set for a shipment of these multiple shipments, the award indicating an indication of the shipments intended for that delivery point (22) ( 10);
- (E) the process step (D) is performed for all delivery points (22).
This method is used for postal service providers, in their delivery bases before the transfer to the deliverers still sorting are made, for example, for nmf broadcasts that arrive in unsorted manner in Zustellstützpunkt. The deliverer advances with multiple stacks of shipments, each stack being sorted according to the delivery points. This method of FIG. 1 enables the gang order to be secured for multiple unavoidable shipment stacks and a manual check by the deliverer is minimized.
- (A) vor der Zustellung der in der Mehrzahl von Stapeln (18.1, 18.2, ...) befindlichen Sendungen (10) werden die Sortierreihenfolgen aller Stapel (18.1, 18.2, ...) erfasst und in einem Informationssystem (2) gespeichert;
- (C) falls mehrere Sendungen (10) für einen Zustellpunkt (22) in der Gangreihenfolge vorliegen, wird für eine Sendung dieser mehreren Sendungen eine Auszeichnung (20) gesetzt, wobei die Auszeichnung eine Angabe über die für diesen Zustellpunkt (22) vorgesehenen Sendungen (10) beinhaltet;
- the items (10) are contained in a plurality of stacks (18.1, 18.2, ...) and are present in a sorting order per stack (18.1, 18.2, ...),
- the sort order per stack (18.1, 18.2, ...) relates to delivery points (22) of the delivery area (30),
- (A) before the delivery of the in the plurality of stacks (18.1, 18.2, ...) located programs (10) the sorting sequences of all stacks (18.1, 18.2, ...) are detected and stored in an information system (2);
- (B) the stored sort orders are sorted in the information system (2) according to the delivery points (22) and stored as a gang order,
- (C) if there are several shipments (10) for a delivery point (22) in the gang order, an award (20) is set for a shipment of these multiple shipments, the award providing an indication of the shipments (22) intended for that delivery point (22) 10);
- (D) the process step (C) is carried out for all delivery points (22).
This method according to
The method according to
- i) The merging of the stored sorting sequences and, if necessary, the shipment data of shipments that have not yet been sorted and the storing as a gang sequence according to the delivery points takes place as a virtual process in an information system. The result of this virtual operation is used to associate shipments in the different stacks to the same delivery points. Thus, the existing in the various stacks shipments do not need to be summarized, but the previously used sorting processes can be used unchanged.
- ii) The deliverer is therefore guided locally at the respective delivery point by awarding a shipment in such a way that, if necessary, he can also remove shipments from the other stacks for the respective delivery point. So it no longer needs manual verification.
- iii) The virtual operation listed above under i) thus makes it possible, in particular, for the award to guide the delivery person with an information output at an information device. The required information, which are the items from the different stacks for a same delivery point, is per se in the information system and thus needs to be transmitted only to the aforementioned device.
- iv) The information in the information system concerning the items from the different stacks for a same delivery point can also be used to appropriately mark items from one of the stacks before the start of delivery.

For a better understanding of the invention and its embodiments, the following terms and definitions are introduced:
The sorting order of the
- i) Unterscheidung gemäss dem Sendungsformat, also
- i) Distinction according to the transmission format, ie
- Standard letters, eg C5 or C5,
- Maxibriefe eg C4 and
- "Non-machine" shipments nmf. Non-machine-capable programs nmf have a format and / or a surface finish and / or a weight significantly different from the aforementioned two conventional formats. Since
such items 10 can not be processed with the known sorting machines, they are referred to as "non-machine" transmissions nmf.
- ii) A second difference may be that formats that are uniform in format, such as standard letters, are already presorted.
- a) This entry is automatically processed Shipments for, for example, standard letters or maximum letters have already been performed by the automation of sorting. Therefore, these recorded broadcasts 10 - exactly their addresses or delivery points 22 - need only be supplied to the
information system 2 via adata line 32. - b) In the case of nmf broadcasts, this recording takes place with the aid of a so-called semi-manual workstation. The detection can take place with a camera and a subsequent digitization of the camera images by means of OCR or by the detection of barcodes already contained on the nmf broadcasts. The thus detected digital delivery points 22 and address information on the
mail items 10 are fed to theinformation system 2 as so-called "mailing data" via afurther data line 32 and stored there. The essential process here is the capture and data processing to a virtual gang order. A (subsequent) creation of an exact physical order of the nmf transmissions is not mandatory at all. An exact physical order of the nmf transmissions can also be completely omitted if the number of nmf transmissions is insignificant.
In a subsequent step, the stored sort orders are virtually merged in the information system and stored as a gang order for the route in the

information device 28, the various stacks 18.1, ... are taken over unchanged by the deliverer. The mapping takes place during the expiration of thedelivery route 24 by means of an information output via the mentionedinformation device 28.

- There are individual delivery points 22, for which there is no
item 10 from the leading stack 18.2, but where onlyitems 10 from the other stacks 18.1 and / or 18.3 are present. The distinction with aseparation card 20 is provide for this case after thelast shipment 10 from the leading stack 18.2 for thelast delivery point 22.
Printing a

- Sequence of delivery points already served.
In this embodiment, the information is transmitted in plain text to the deliverer, cf.
- i) Es ist kein führender Stapel erforderlich.
- i) No leading stack is required.
- (ii) no post-processing of inserting a divider card or printing on the consignments is required at either the mail center or at a delivery center.
The information output can also be made tactile, namely by vibrating the
