Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a combination appliance with a hob and extractor device with a filter unit.
  • trough fans In kitchens, it is known to use so-called trough fans instead of extractor hoods, which are arranged above a hob, for example on the room wall or ceiling, in order to extract the vapors and vapors that arise during cooking.
  • a downdraft ventilation is described, for example.
  • a cooking steam inlet opening located on the hob level is connected to a vacuum source via an exhaust air duct system.
  • the downdraft ventilation is provided as a separate device between two cooktops or next to a cooktop.
  • a disadvantage of this known filter arrangement is that liquid which enters the cooking steam inlet opening has to pass through the filter element before it reaches the tub. The liquid passes through in an uncontrolled manner.
  • a hob with central extraction of cooking fumes downwards In this hob, one or more cutouts are made in the area around the geometric centroid.
  • Devices for extracting kitchen fumes are provided below the hob.
  • the devices for extracting kitchen vapors are preferably radial fans that are attached to the underside of a hob housing and are sucked upwards via the air from cooking vapors suction chambers located below.
  • a grease filter insert can be inserted into the recess, the side walls of which are permeable to cooking vapors and the bottom of which forms a collecting tray. With this grease filter insert, the drip tray can be used to hold liquids.
  • a suction system which sucks air laterally below the grill.
  • a horizontal air baffle is arranged in the suction opening of the suction unit so that the smoke produced is extracted intensively and efficiently.
  • the air sucked in in the horizontal direction is guided further in a vertical direction by means of guide plates.
  • an oil collecting channel is arranged at a predetermined distance, which has a V-shaped cross section.
  • the oil collecting channel has a hole arranged in its longitudinal direction through which the liquid oil enters and is collected in an oil tank which supports the oil collecting channel. Air passed through a gap between the guide plates and the oil collection chute flows through side portions of the oil tank and is passed through a hole into another channel and through another filter.
  • the filter can comprise a grease filter and a particle filter as well as a carbon filter.
  • a disadvantage of this device is that liquids are only separated on the grease filter and dripping can occur in the process.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to create a solution by means of which a filter unit is suitable both for filtering impurities and liquids from fumes and vapors as well as for receiving or conveying larger amounts of liquid and, in particular, in a combination device consisting of an extractor device and hob, an optimized liquid flow with continued good cleaning of the fumes and vapors is ensured by the filter element.
  • the invention is based on the knowledge that this object can be achieved by creating a filter unit in which at least two filter stages are provided and at least part of the upper filter stage forms a collecting element for collecting liquids and also a collecting area at least below the first filter stage lies.
  • Directional information such as above or below, which relate to the filter unit or parts thereof, unless otherwise stated, relate to the filter unit in an installed state, in which the filter unit is inserted into a horizontally lying opening of a device that includes an extractor device, is introduced into a horizontally lying recess of a hob.
  • the upper side of the filter unit therefore represents the suction side and the lower side of the filter unit the clean air side.
  • the upper side of the filter unit is preferably understood to mean the area where the filter unit rests against the opening of the device with an extractor device, in particular the recess in the hob.
  • a fastening device for fastening the filter unit to an opening of the device with an extractor device, in particular a recess in a hob can preferably be provided on the top of the filter unit.
  • the fastening device can also be referred to as a suspension device and can represent, for example, a bevel or a web.
  • the filter unit in the upper area rests only with its outside on the inner circumference of the opening of the device with fume extractor device, in particular the recess of the hob, and the underside of the filter unit on a component inside the device, in particular rests below the hob.
  • a device is referred to as a fume extractor device by means of which air and, in particular, vapors and vapors produced during cooking can be extracted from a space above a hob.
  • the extractor device has at least one fan.
  • the fan which can also be referred to as a fan or suction fan, preferably comprises a fan housing, which is designed, for example, as a spiral housing or worm housing and can also be referred to as a fan housing.
  • a fan wheel is accommodated in the fan housing and is driven by a motor likewise accommodated in the fan housing.
  • the fan housing has an air inlet opening through which air is drawn in to the Fan wheel can get.
  • the fan housing has an air outlet opening through which air can be radially discharged.
  • the air inlet opening is preferably in the area of the axis of the fan wheel.
  • a grease filter unit is preferably referred to as a filter unit, by means of which fats and other impurities, in particular liquids, can be separated from the air.
  • the filter unit according to the invention comprises at least one filter element.
  • at least two filter elements which are also referred to as filter stages, are provided in the filter unit.
  • the filter elements can be fixed or detachable in the filter unit.
  • the different filter elements can each have the same structure. However, different filter elements preferably each have a different structure.

  • the filter elements can be round or square in plan view.
  • the filter unit has an air inlet opening in the upper side, which is used for the inlet of air, which is sucked in by the extractor device, into the filter unit, and in the lower side an air outlet opening which is used to discharge air from the filter unit to the extractor device.
  • the flow through the filter unit is therefore essentially in the vertical direction.
  • the air outlet opening preferably has a smaller size than the air inlet opening. In this case, the air outlet opening lies completely in the air inlet opening in a vertical projection of the air inlet opening onto the plane of the air outlet opening.

  • the collecting area lies at least below the upper filter element.
  • the collecting area can be at the level of the filter unit between the upper filter element and at least one lower filter element.
  • the collecting area is preferably located below all filter elements of the filter unit.
  • the collecting area is in particular at least below the edge of the upper one Filter element and surrounds the air outlet opening.
  • the collecting area therefore preferably covers the annular gap that exists between the larger air inlet opening and the smaller air outlet opening.
  • the upper filter element forms a collecting element
  • liquids can at least partially be prevented from dripping in or running into the filter unit from above to the air outlet opening. Since the collecting element is designed as part of a filter element, the entry of air into the filter unit can still be guaranteed. Since at least one collecting area is additionally provided, liquid can be collected from the collecting element in an area which is separate from the filter element. Since the collecting area is separate from the filter element, the shape and size of the collecting area can be freely selected and larger amounts of liquid can thus be absorbed. In particular when using the filter unit with an extractor device, the fan of which is arranged below the filter unit in such a way that the air inlet opening of the fan housing faces upwards, the collection of liquids is advantageous.
  • the cleaning of the air can be improved by providing several filter elements arranged one above the other.
  • impurities and liquids which could not be filtered out of the air on the first, that is to say upper, filter element can be filtered out on the second or further filter element, which is located below the first filter element. This ensures that the air is completely cleaned.
  • the upper filter element lies in the air inlet opening of the filter unit and the surface of the upper filter element completely covers the air inlet opening. Since the upper filter element lies in the air inlet opening and thus on the top of the filter unit and parts of the upper filter element form a collecting element, liquids can be reliably collected as soon as they enter the filter unit.
  • the upper filter element consists of at least two profile sets, of which two profile sets represent open profiles facing one another and the profiles of the lower profile set are arranged with their open side up and form the collecting element.
  • This embodiment of the upper filter element is also referred to as an eddy current filter or baffle filter.
  • a profile set refers to several profiles that are adjacent to one another and lie in one plane and between which slots are formed.
  • the profiles of a profile set can be connected to one another via a frame, for example.
  • the profiles can have the shape of a longitudinally extending channel which, for example, can have a U-shaped or V-shaped cross section.

  • two or more than two profile sets can be provided in one filter element. With more than two profile sets in the filter element, the profiles of the intermediate profile sets can also be designed as flat webs.
  • the lower profile set is preferably arranged so that its profiles point with their open side upwards. This allows liquid to be caught in the profiles of the lower profile set.
  • the profiles are preferably arranged so that their open side is directed downwards.
  • the edge of a profile of the upper profile set lies in vertical projection onto the profiles of the lower profile set in the area of one of the profiles of the lower profile set. As a result, the slots in the lower profile set are covered by the upper profile set.
  • the profile sets of the filter element are preferably parallel to one another.
  • the upper profile set also consists of open profiles, for example U-shaped or V-shaped profiles and these face the lower profile set with their open side, the air that enters the upper filter element can be swirled between the profile sets and thereby liquids and other impurities are deposited.
  • the lower filter element is a flat filter element. If more than two filter elements are provided in the filter unit, the upper filter element can represent an eddy current filter and the further filter elements located underneath can represent flat filter elements.

  • the entire upper filter element can be inclined in the filter unit.
  • only the collecting element for example the lower profile set of an eddy current filter, is inclined to the horizontal and the other part or parts of the upper filter element, in particular the upper profile set, is horizontal. Because the collecting element is inclined from the horizontal in the filter unit, liquid that has been caught in the collecting element can run to the lowest point of the collecting element in the collecting element and from there to a collecting area.
  • the lower filter element or elements in particular flat filter elements, can also be provided in the filter unit inclined from the horizontal. In this way, liquids that are deposited in these filter elements or drip onto them can also be conducted to the lowest point and from there to a collecting area of the filter unit.
  • At least the profiles of the lower profile set have a curved or kinked shape, through which the longitudinal ends of the profiles lie deeper in the filter unit than its further length.
  • This configuration of the lower profile set, which forms the collecting element, allows liquids to run to both longitudinal ends of the profile set and from there to a collecting area.

  • the overflow edge is preferably spaced from the at least one filter element and preferably from all filter elements of the filter unit.
  • An overflow edge which is offset downward in relation to the filter element or elements is referred to as being arranged at a distance from the filter element. Since the overflow edge is at a distance from the filter element, the entry of liquids which emerge from the collecting area via the overflow edge back into the filter element can be prevented.

Description

The present invention relates to a combination appliance with a hob and extractor device with a filter unit.

In kitchens, it is known to use so-called trough fans instead of extractor hoods, which are arranged above a hob, for example on the room wall or ceiling, in order to extract the vapors and vapors that arise during cooking. In the DE 10 2013 007 722 A1 such a downdraft ventilation is described, for example. Here, a cooking steam inlet opening located on the hob level is connected to a vacuum source via an exhaust air duct system. The downdraft ventilation is provided as a separate device between two cooktops or next to a cooktop. In order to prevent the entry of liquids into the negative pressure source, it is known to arrange a filter element in the drainage channel system and to provide a trough under the filter element to collect liquids and other contaminants. A disadvantage of this known filter arrangement is that liquid which enters the cooking steam inlet opening has to pass through the filter element before it reaches the tub. The liquid passes through in an uncontrolled manner.

Furthermore, from the WO 2012/146237 A1 known a hob with central extraction of cooking fumes downwards. In this hob, one or more cutouts are made in the area around the geometric centroid. Devices for extracting kitchen fumes are provided below the hob. The devices for extracting kitchen vapors are preferably radial fans that are attached to the underside of a hob housing and are sucked upwards via the air from cooking vapors suction chambers located below. A grease filter insert can be inserted into the recess, the side walls of which are permeable to cooking vapors and the bottom of which forms a collecting tray. With this grease filter insert, the drip tray can be used to hold liquids.

Furthermore describes the EP 1 532 907 A1 an electric smokeless roaster. According to one embodiment, a suction system is disclosed which sucks air laterally below the grill. A horizontal air baffle is arranged in the suction opening of the suction unit so that the smoke produced is extracted intensively and efficiently. The air sucked in in the horizontal direction is guided further in a vertical direction by means of guide plates. At an exit of the guide plates, an oil collecting channel is arranged at a predetermined distance, which has a V-shaped cross section. Furthermore, the oil collecting channel has a hole arranged in its longitudinal direction through which the liquid oil enters and is collected in an oil tank which supports the oil collecting channel. Air passed through a gap between the guide plates and the oil collection chute flows through side portions of the oil tank and is passed through a hole into another channel and through another filter.

Finally describes the US 2014/0020673 A1 a food service unit which has a forced air ventilation system which has a filter. The filter can comprise a grease filter and a particle filter as well as a carbon filter. A disadvantage of this device is that liquids are only separated on the grease filter and dripping can occur in the process.

The object of the present invention is therefore to create a solution by means of which a filter unit is suitable both for filtering impurities and liquids from fumes and vapors as well as for receiving or conveying larger amounts of liquid and, in particular, in a combination device consisting of an extractor device and hob, an optimized liquid flow with continued good cleaning of the fumes and vapors is ensured by the filter element.

The invention is based on the knowledge that this object can be achieved by creating a filter unit in which at least two filter stages are provided and at least part of the upper filter stage forms a collecting element for collecting liquids and also a collecting area at least below the first filter stage lies.

The object is therefore achieved by a combination device with a hob and an extractor device arranged below the hob and having the features of claim 1.

Directional information, such as above or below, which relate to the filter unit or parts thereof, unless otherwise stated, relate to the filter unit in an installed state, in which the filter unit is inserted into a horizontally lying opening of a device that includes an extractor device, is introduced into a horizontally lying recess of a hob. The upper side of the filter unit therefore represents the suction side and the lower side of the filter unit the clean air side. The upper side of the filter unit is preferably understood to mean the area where the filter unit rests against the opening of the device with an extractor device, in particular the recess in the hob. A fastening device for fastening the filter unit to an opening of the device with an extractor device, in particular a recess in a hob, can preferably be provided on the top of the filter unit. The fastening device can also be referred to as a suspension device and can represent, for example, a bevel or a web. However, it is also within the scope of the invention that the filter unit in the upper area rests only with its outside on the inner circumference of the opening of the device with fume extractor device, in particular the recess of the hob, and the underside of the filter unit on a component inside the device, in particular rests below the hob.

According to the invention, a device is referred to as a fume extractor device by means of which air and, in particular, vapors and vapors produced during cooking can be extracted from a space above a hob. The extractor device has at least one fan. The fan, which can also be referred to as a fan or suction fan, preferably comprises a fan housing, which is designed, for example, as a spiral housing or worm housing and can also be referred to as a fan housing. A fan wheel is accommodated in the fan housing and is driven by a motor likewise accommodated in the fan housing. The fan housing has an air inlet opening through which air is drawn in to the Fan wheel can get. Furthermore, the fan housing has an air outlet opening through which air can be radially discharged. In the case of a fan that is a radial fan, the air inlet opening is preferably in the area of the axis of the fan wheel.

A grease filter unit is preferably referred to as a filter unit, by means of which fats and other impurities, in particular liquids, can be separated from the air. For this purpose, the filter unit according to the invention comprises at least one filter element. According to the invention, at least two filter elements, which are also referred to as filter stages, are provided in the filter unit. The filter elements can be fixed or detachable in the filter unit. The different filter elements can each have the same structure. However, different filter elements preferably each have a different structure.

According to the present invention, there are at least two filter elements in the filter unit. In the following, the invention is essentially described with reference to two filter elements, the statements made here - unless stated otherwise - also apply to more than two filter elements. The filter elements can be round or square in plan view.

The filter unit has an air inlet opening in the upper side, which is used for the inlet of air, which is sucked in by the extractor device, into the filter unit, and in the lower side an air outlet opening which is used to discharge air from the filter unit to the extractor device. The flow through the filter unit is therefore essentially in the vertical direction. The air outlet opening preferably has a smaller size than the air inlet opening. In this case, the air outlet opening lies completely in the air inlet opening in a vertical projection of the air inlet opening onto the plane of the air outlet opening.

The filter elements are arranged one above the other in the filter unit, that is to say between the air inlet opening and the air outlet opening. The filter element located in or closest to the air inlet opening is referred to here as the upper filter element. The filter elements arranged one above the other preferably cover each other completely. This means that the area of the upper filter element corresponds to the area of the filter element or elements below. In particular, the filter elements have a size which corresponds to the size of the air inlet opening and covers the air inlet opening at the bottom.

According to the invention, at least a part of the upper filter element is designed as a collecting element for collecting liquids. A collecting element is understood here to be a one-part element or preferably consisting of several parts that is open at the top. The collecting element, which can also be referred to as a collecting container, therefore preferably has the shape of one or more channels or troughs that are open at the top. The collecting element preferably extends at least partially over the surface of the upper filter element.

In addition, the filter unit has a collection area for liquids. According to the invention, in particular liquids which emerge from the collecting element can be collected in the collecting area. In addition, liquids can be collected in the collecting area that emerge or drip down from one of the further filter elements. A contour or a part of the filter unit in which liquids, in particular from the collecting element, are collected, is referred to as a collecting area. The collection area is also referred to below as the collection container. The collecting area can also represent a separate component from a filter holder by means of which the filter unit can be held on the device with an extractor device. However, the collecting area is preferably designed in one piece with at least one filter holder, that is to say forms part of the filter holder. The filter holder is also referred to as a filter holder.

According to the invention, the collecting area lies at least below the upper filter element. The collecting area can be at the level of the filter unit between the upper filter element and at least one lower filter element. However, the collecting area is preferably located below all filter elements of the filter unit. The collecting area is in particular at least below the edge of the upper one Filter element and surrounds the air outlet opening. The collecting area therefore preferably covers the annular gap that exists between the larger air inlet opening and the smaller air outlet opening.

Since, according to the invention, at least a part of the upper filter element forms a collecting element, liquids can at least partially be prevented from dripping in or running into the filter unit from above to the air outlet opening. In particular, this prevents liquids from entering the fan housing directly. In addition, the cleaning of the air can be improved by providing several filter elements arranged one above the other. In particular, impurities and liquids which could not be filtered out of the air on the first, that is to say upper, filter element can be filtered out on the second or further filter element, which is located below the first filter element. This ensures that the air is completely cleaned.

According to the invention, the upper filter element lies in the air inlet opening of the filter unit and the surface of the upper filter element completely covers the air inlet opening. Since the upper filter element lies in the air inlet opening and thus on the top of the filter unit and parts of the upper filter element form a collecting element, liquids can be reliably collected as soon as they enter the filter unit.

According to the invention, the upper filter element consists of at least two profile sets, of which two profile sets represent open profiles facing one another and the profiles of the lower profile set are arranged with their open side up and form the collecting element. This embodiment of the upper filter element is also referred to as an eddy current filter or baffle filter.

A profile set refers to several profiles that are adjacent to one another and lie in one plane and between which slots are formed. The profiles of a profile set can be connected to one another via a frame, for example. The profiles can have the shape of a longitudinally extending channel which, for example, can have a U-shaped or V-shaped cross section. The profile sets of the filter element are preferably aligned with one another in such a way that at least two profile sets are offset from one another and the profiles of one profile set cover the slots between the profiles of the second profile set. According to the invention, two or more than two profile sets can be provided in one filter element. With more than two profile sets in the filter element, the profiles of the intermediate profile sets can also be designed as flat webs. However, the lower profile set is preferably arranged so that its profiles point with their open side upwards. This allows liquid to be caught in the profiles of the lower profile set. In the upper profile set of the filter element, the profiles are preferably arranged so that their open side is directed downwards. The edge of a profile of the upper profile set lies in vertical projection onto the profiles of the lower profile set in the area of one of the profiles of the lower profile set. As a result, the slots in the lower profile set are covered by the upper profile set. The profile sets of the filter element are preferably parallel to one another.

Since the upper profile set also consists of open profiles, for example U-shaped or V-shaped profiles and these face the lower profile set with their open side, the air that enters the upper filter element can be swirled between the profile sets and thereby liquids and other impurities are deposited.

Due to the alignment of the profile sets of the upper filter element to one another, liquids that run or drip into the filter unit from above can also be safely collected. The liquids are directed through the bottoms of the upper profiles to the slots formed in the upper profile set. The liquid then enters the upwardly open profiles of the lower profile set via these slots and can be collected there. The profiles of the lower profile set thus together form the collecting element of the filter unit used according to the invention.

According to one embodiment, the lower filter element is a flat filter element. If more than two filter elements are provided in the filter unit, the upper filter element can represent an eddy current filter and the further filter elements located underneath can represent flat filter elements. Flat filter elements are filter elements in which the filter material extends over the entire surface of the filter element. The flat filter element can consist for example of expanded metal layers, braided or knitted metal threads or of other filter materials. By providing at least one flat filter element in the filter unit in addition to an eddy current filter, a reliable filtering out of liquids and other impurities can be guaranteed.

According to the invention, at least the collecting element is arranged inclined from the horizontal in the filter unit. An arrangement of the collecting element inclined from the horizontal is referred to in which the collecting element is inclined at an angle of greater than 0 Ā° and less than 90 Ā°, preferably at an angle of greater than 0 Ā° and less than 45 Ā°, to the horizontal. In the embodiment with an inclined collecting element, the entire upper filter element can be inclined in the filter unit. However, it is also within the scope of the invention that only the collecting element, for example the lower profile set of an eddy current filter, is inclined to the horizontal and the other part or parts of the upper filter element, in particular the upper profile set, is horizontal. Because the collecting element is inclined from the horizontal in the filter unit, liquid that has been caught in the collecting element can run to the lowest point of the collecting element in the collecting element and from there to a collecting area.

In addition to the collecting element, the lower filter element or elements, in particular flat filter elements, can also be provided in the filter unit inclined from the horizontal. In this way, liquids that are deposited in these filter elements or drip onto them can also be conducted to the lowest point and from there to a collecting area of the filter unit.

According to a further embodiment, with an eddy current filter as the upper filter element, at least the profiles of the lower profile set have a curved or kinked shape, through which the longitudinal ends of the profiles lie deeper in the filter unit than its further length. This configuration of the lower profile set, which forms the collecting element, allows liquids to run to both longitudinal ends of the profile set and from there to a collecting area.

The collecting area is preferably located at least under part of the outer edge of the upper filter element. In the case of a collecting element of the upper filter element arranged at an incline or formed by curved profiles, the collecting container is preferably located at least below the lowest point of the upper filter element. The collecting container preferably extends over the entire edge of the upper filter element. The collecting area is preferably arranged below the upper and particularly preferably below all filter elements of the filter unit.

An overflow edge for liquids to overflow is preferably formed on the collecting area. By providing an overflow edge, when a large amount of liquids penetrate into the filter unit and accumulate in the collection area, reliable drainage of the liquid to another overflow container can be ensured. The overflow edge is preferably provided on the upper edge of the collecting area. As a result, the space of the collection area can initially be used to collect liquids. Only when a fill level is reached that is higher than the overflow edge will the liquid emerge from the collecting area.

The overflow edge is preferably spaced from the at least one filter element and preferably from all filter elements of the filter unit. An overflow edge which is offset downward in relation to the filter element or elements is referred to as being arranged at a distance from the filter element. Since the overflow edge is at a distance from the filter element, the entry of liquids which emerge from the collecting area via the overflow edge back into the filter element can be prevented. The overflow edge of the collecting area is preferably formed by at least one overflow opening.

According to a preferred embodiment, the at least one filter element is held on a filter holder. The filter elements are preferably held on a common filter holder. The filter elements can be detachably connected to the filter holder. The filter holder is also used to hold the filter elements, preferably also to fasten the filter unit to an opening of a device with an extractor device. The filter holder can also be referred to as a filter housing. The filter holder can form the outside of the filter unit. The filter holder preferably has the shape of a tub or pot. In this case, an opening is made in the bottom of the filter holder which corresponds to the air outlet opening of the filter unit. The opening is preferably surrounded by inner walls of the filter holder which extend upwards from the bottom of the filter holder. The filter holder can have a round or rectangular cross section. The filter elements are held via the filter holder and in particular the inside of the outer wall of the filter holder. The filter elements can be placed, for example, on projections on the inside of the outer wall of the filter holder.

The collecting area is preferably formed in the bottom of the filter holder. An opening is provided in the bottom of the filter holder which corresponds to the air outlet opening of the filter unit. The collection area is therefore formed in the floor around the air outlet opening. Since the collecting area is formed in the bottom of the filter holder, the structure of the filter unit is simplified because it is a separate collecting container does not necessarily have to be provided. In addition, in an embodiment in which the air outlet opening has a smaller size than the air inlet opening, the edge area of the filter elements lies above the bottom of the filter holder formed around the air outlet opening, which serves as a collecting area. This ensures the reliable supply of liquids at least from the collecting element to the collecting area.

The filter unit used according to the invention can be used for different extractor devices. In particular, however, the filter unit is used for extractor devices in which air is sucked into an air inlet opening from above. The fan is therefore preferably arranged offset downwards in relation to the filter unit. The filter unit can therefore be used, for example, in known hollow ventilation systems.

Advantages and features that have been described with regard to the filter unit apply - if applicable - correspondingly to the combination device and vice versa and may only be described once.

The combination device according to the invention comprises a hob and an extractor device. In particular, these two components of the combination device are designed as an assembly unit, that is, a structural unit. This means that the two components of the combination device are directly or indirectly attached to one another and can be installed as an assembly unit, for example in a worktop. The combination device thus represents an assembled or preassembled unit, or a unit that can be preassembled.

According to the invention, the hob comprises at least one heating element and preferably a cover plate. The cover plate covers the at least one heating element from above. The heating element can represent an induction module, for example.

According to the invention, the fume extractor device comprises a fan and, preferably, also an air duct for guiding the air out of the combination device after it exits the fan.

According to the invention, the extractor device is arranged below the hob and in particular below the top of the hob. If the top of the hob, as preferred according to the invention, is formed by a cover plate, the extractor device is arranged below the cover plate. The fan of the extractor device can, for example, be arranged between two heating elements of the cooktop or be completely offset downwards relative to the heating elements.

Directional information, such as above and below, which are mentioned in connection with the combination device or parts thereof, relate to the combination device in the assembled and installed state, i.e. in the state in which it is placed in a horizontal worktop, for example.

By using at least one filter unit according to the invention in the combination device according to the invention, a number of advantages can be achieved. In particular, the inventive design of the upper filter element, which at least partially forms a collecting element, and the additional provision of a collecting area in the filter unit prevent liquids from entering the fan of an extractor device located below the hob. In addition, reliable cleaning of the sucked in air can be ensured since at least two filter elements are provided in the filter unit.

According to one embodiment, the combination device comprises a hob with at least one recess for sucking air from the space above the hob via the at least one recess and the filter unit is introduced into at least one of the recesses from above.

According to the invention, at least one recess is provided in the hob. The recess can preferably be made in the cover plate of the hob.

By providing at least one recess in the hob according to the invention and introducing a filter unit used according to the invention in this, a number of advantages can be achieved. On the one hand, the recess (s) can be made in the hob in such a way that they are close to the heating elements of the hob and thus close to where the fumes and vapors that are to be extracted by the extractor device are created. In addition, in the case of the combination device, the fan can be provided directly under the cutout and thus the suction of air from the space above the hob can be further improved. The filter unit used according to the invention is particularly advantageous in such an arrangement of the fan. Due to the collecting element and the collecting area, which are provided on the filter unit, accidentally entering liquids, such as overflowing food, are reliably received in the filter unit and the fan of the extractor device is thus protected. Since the filter unit is finally introduced into the recess of the hob from above, it can be removed in a simple manner, for example for cleaning purposes.

According to a preferred embodiment, the combination device comprises an overflow container which surrounds at least a part of the collecting area. An overflow container is referred to as surrounding the collecting area, which is at least partially arranged below the collecting area and which protrudes in a vertical projection of the collecting area onto the overflow container at least in areas beyond at least one lateral edge of the collecting area. The overflow container preferably represents a trough, in the bottom of which a passage opening is provided which is surrounded by a protective wall. The overflow container is thus preferably formed in the lower area by at least one channel. The channel can represent a circumferential channel.

The overflow container preferably surrounds at least that part of the collecting area on which an overflow edge is formed. This enables a reliable supply of Liquids that overflow from the collection area via the overflow edge are secured to the overflow container.

The overflow container preferably represents a component that is configured separately from the filter unit and is firmly connected to the combination device. The overflow container can for example be placed on the fan housing of the fan of the extractor device. Alternatively, however, it is also possible for the overflow container to be provided on the hob, for example the underside of the hob, and possibly fastened there. The overflow container is preferably arranged in the combination device in such a way that it is arranged above the fan of the extractor device, or at least partially surrounds it. The filter unit is detachably connected to the combination device and can, for example, be introduced into a recess in the hob and detachably held there. However, it is also within the scope of the invention that the filter unit is introduced into the overflow container via the recess and rests on part of the overflow container, for example the upper edge of a protective wall surrounding a passage opening, and is thus held. Since the overflow container is a separate component that can be inserted into the combination device, its size and position can be selected so that more reliable protection of the fan of the extractor device against the ingress of liquids is guaranteed. In the case of a fan mounted on a floor of a device housing of the combination device, the use of the floor as an overflow container would lead to the liquids collected therein entering the fan and thus damage it.

According to one embodiment, the collecting area and the overflow container each have a channel shape. In this case, the collecting area can be formed by the channel shape, while the channel shape on the overflow container is formed, for example, only in the lower area of the overflow container. The width of the channel of the overflow container is preferably greater than the width of the channel of the collecting area. In this way, the supply of liquids from the collecting area to the overflow container can be ensured.

The hob 10 is arranged in the upper region of the combination device 1. In the embodiment shown, the hob 10 comprises a cover plate 103. Heating elements 101 are arranged below the cover plate 103. The area of the cover plate 103 in which a heating element 101 is arranged under the cover plate 103, that is to say, on which the food can be heated, is also referred to as the cooking zone 102 or hotplate.

How out Figure 1 results, a recess 104 is made in the center of the surface of the hob 10 and in particular in the cover plate 103. In the embodiment shown, the recess 104 has a round cross section and lies in the center of the surface of the cover plate 103. However, it is also within the scope of the invention to make a rectangular recess 104 in the hob 10.

A filter unit 12 is introduced into the recess 104, which will be described later with reference to FIG Figures 2 and 3 is described in more detail. From the filter unit 12 is in Figure 1 only the air inlet opening 125 shown is covered by the upper filter element 1200. In Figure 1 only the upper profile set 1201 of the upper filter element 1200 can be seen. The profiles of the profile set 1201 extend over the entire surface of the air inlet opening 125 and slots are formed between the elongated profiles.

In Figures 2 and 3 is the embodiment of the combination device 1 according to the invention Figure 1 shown schematically in sectional view. Here, only those parts of the combination device 1 lying in the sectional plane are shown in order to improve the visibility. The combination device 1 is inserted into an opening in a worktop 2. In Figure 2 the fan 110 of the extractor device 11, which is arranged below the recess 104 in the hob 10, in particular the cover plate 103, is shown. In addition, in Figure 2 the filter unit 12, which is arranged between the recess 104 and the fan 110, can be seen. The fan 110 includes a motor 111 which drives a fan wheel 112. The fan wheel 112 and the motor 111 are accommodated in a fan housing 113. The fan housing 113 has an air inlet opening 115 on the side facing upwards, that is to say the side facing the hob 10. The fan 110 represents a radial fan in which the air sucked axially into the fan housing 113 via the air inlet opening 115 is output again in the radial direction via an air outlet opening (not shown) on the fan housing 113. The air inlet opening 115 of the fan housing 113 is aligned with the recess 104 in the cover plate 103 such that the air inlet opening 115 lies completely in the area of the recess 104 in a vertical projection of the recess 104 onto the air inlet opening 115.

Despite this alignment of the air inlet opening 115, it is not visible to the user in the assembled state of the combination device 1. Namely, the filter unit 12 used according to the invention is arranged above the fan housing 113.

The filter unit 12, which is also in the Figure 3 is shown in more detail, comprises in the illustrated embodiment a filter holder 121 and two filter elements 120. The filter elements 120 can be configured with the filter holder 121 as a structural unit. In any case, however, the filter elements 120 and the filter holder 121 are connected to one another. In addition, the combination device 1 has an overflow container 13.

The filter holder 121 has an annular trough shape. The outer walls 1212 of the filter holder 121 are fastened to the cover plate 103 at the top thereof. For example, the filter holder 121 can rest on the edge of the recess 104 on the cover plate 103 via outwardly directed bevels (not shown) provided on the upper edge of the outer walls 1212. The inner wall 1213 of the filter holder 121 surrounds the air outlet opening 126 of the filter unit 12 and extends upwards from the bottom of the filter holder 121. A collecting area is thus formed between the outer wall 1212 of the filter holder 121 and the inner wall 1213 of the filter holder 121. The air inlet opening 125 of the filter unit 12 has a larger size than the air outlet opening 126. The distance between the edge of the air inlet opening 125 and the edge of the air outlet opening 126 is covered by the bottom of the filter holder 121.

Two filter elements 120 are provided in the filter unit 12 and in particular in the filter holder 121. In particular, an upper filter element 1200 and a lower filter element 1203 are provided. The filter elements 120 each have a size which corresponds to the inner diameter of the filter holder 121.

The upper filter element 1200 is an eddy current filter in the embodiment shown. The upper filter element 1200 consists of an upper profile set 1201 and a lower profile set 1202. The upper profile set 1201 is formed by U-shaped long profiles, the open side of which is facing downwards. The lower profile set 1202 is formed by U-shaped long profiles, the open side of which faces upwards. The lower profile set 1202 forms the collecting element 127. The two profile sets 1201 and 1202 of the upper filter element 1200 can be held in a common frame (not shown). The profiles of the upper profile set 1201 correspond to the profiles of the lower one Profile set 1202 offset so that the profiles of the upper profile set 1201 covers the slots between the profiles of the lower profile set 1202.

A lower filter element 1203 is arranged below the upper filter element 1200. In the embodiment shown, the lower filter element 1203 represents a flat filter element which can consist of expanded metal layers, for example, and which can also be referred to as a filter cassette.

Underneath the lower filter element 1203, overflow openings 123 are made in the outer wall 1212 of the filter holder 121, through the lower edge of which an overflow edge 124 is formed, via which liquids can reach the overflow container 13.

The overflow openings 123 are made at a height that is at the level of the upper edge of the inner wall 1213 of the filter holder 121, or is offset downward to it. This ensures that the height at which the overflow openings 123 are made above the bottom of the filter holder 121 defines the maximum fill level of the collecting area 122.

In the embodiment shown, an overflow container 13 is provided between the filter holder 121 and the fan housing 113. The overflow container 13 also has an annular trough shape. The overflow container 13 has a greater width than the filter holder 121. The filter holder 121 is received in the overflow container 13 at least in its lower area, in which the collecting area 122 is formed. The overflow container 13 is arranged lower in the combination device 1 than the filter holder 121. As a result, there is a distance between the bottom of the overflow container 13 and the collecting area 122 of the filter holder 121. At least this distance is used to hold liquids.

The filter unit 12 is detachably attached to the combination device 1. For example, the filter unit 12 can be inserted into the recess 104 and suspended there. The overflow container 13 can be detachably connected to the combination device 1. For example, the overflow container 13 can be placed loosely on the fan housing 113 or hooked into the recess. The central passage opening 134, which results from the ring shape of the overflow container 13, is in this case with the Air inlet opening 115 of the fan housing 113 aligned. The passage opening 134 is surrounded by an upwardly extending protective wall 135. An access protection grille 130 can be provided in the passage opening 134 of the overflow container 13. However, it is also possible and preferably to firmly connect the overflow container 13, for example to the cover plate 103 or the fan housing 113.

The annular trough shape, which the filter holder 121 and the overflow container 13 preferably have, is understood to be both a round shape in plan view and a square shape. The shape of the filter holder 121 and the overflow container 13 are selected in accordance with the shape of the recess 104.

In the embodiment according to Figure 2 a device housing 14 of the combination device 1 is also provided, in which the extractor device 11 and the hob 10 are accommodated. In the embodiment shown, the heating elements 101 of the hob 10 are accommodated in the device housing 14 and the device housing 14 is covered from above by the cover plate 103. In addition, the extractor device 11 is provided in the device housing 14. From the extractor device 11 is in Figure 2 only the fan 110 can be seen. The fan 110 is fastened to the device base 140 of the device housing 14.

As an alternative to the embodiment shown, in which the hob 10 and the extractor device 11 are accommodated in a device housing 14, according to the invention it is also possible and preferably to design the combination device 1 without a device housing 14. In such an embodiment, for example, the top of the fan 110, for example the side in which the air inlet opening 115 is provided, can be fastened to the underside of the hob, in particular a hob housing (not shown), in the area outside of the air inlet opening 115 .

The function of the combination device 1 and the filter unit 12 will now be described again.

In the fan 110, the fan wheel 112 is driven by a motor 111. As a result, air is sucked into the fan housing 113 via the air inlet opening 115 of the fan housing 113 facing upwards and thus facing the hob 10. The air is sucked into the combination device 1 from above the hob 10 through the recess 104. In particular, the air enters the combination device 1 through the air inlet opening 125 of the filter unit 12 and is sucked to the air inlet opening 115 of the blower 110.

Since the upper filter unit 1200 is arranged in the air inlet opening 125, the sucked air flow L passes through the upper filter element 1200. The profile sets 1201 and 1202 filter out liquids and other contaminants from the air and collect them in the lower profile set 1202, which serves as a collecting element 127. After the air has exited through the slots in the lower profile set 1202, the air reaches the lower filter element 1203 and flows through it from top to bottom. From there, the air exits the filter unit 12 via the air outlet opening 126 and arrives via the air inlet opening 115 of the fan housing 113 into the fan housing 113, where it is blown out via an air outlet opening (not shown) of the fan housing 113. From there the air arrives either indirectly via an outlet duct (not shown) or directly to an air outlet 18 (see Fig. Figure 1 ) of the device housing 14. From there, the air can be released into the environment or into the room in which the combination device 1 is operated.

FlĆ¼ssigkeiten, wie Wasser und Fett, die an den Filterelementen 120 (1200, 1203) aus der Luft abgeschieden werden, kƶnnen beispielsweise an der Innenseite der AuƟenwand 1212 der Filterhalterung 121 nach unten laufen und in dem Sammelbereich 122 gesammelt werden und gelangen nicht in das GeblƤse 110.Liquids, such as water and fat, which are separated from the air at the filter elements 120 (1200, 1203), can for example run down the inside of the outer wall 1212 of the filter holder 121 and be collected in the collecting area 122 and do not get into the fan 110.

Ɯber diese lƤuft die FlĆ¼ssigkeit in den um die Filtereinheit 12 vorgesehenen ƜberlaufbehƤlter 13.In addition, with the filter unit 12 used according to the invention, liquid that runs into the filter unit 12 via the air inlet opening 125 is passed through the slots of the upper profile set 1201 of the upper filter element 1200 into the upward-facing profiles of the lower profile set 1202, which form the collecting element 127 and caught there. If a large amount of liquid enters the filter unit 12, for example when food is boiled over, the collecting element 127 first fills and then the collecting area 122 of the filter unit 12. In the filter unit 12, Overflow openings 123 are made in particular in the outer wall of the filter holder 121. The liquid runs through this into the overflow container 13 provided around the filter unit 12.

In Figure 4 a further embodiment of the filter unit 12 used according to the invention is shown. In particular, in Figure 4 the upper region of the filter unit 12 is shown with the filter elements 120 arranged therein. In the embodiment according to Figure 4 is the upper profile set 1201 of the upper filter element 1200 in the horizontal. The lower profile set 1202 of the upper filter unit, however, is arranged inclined from the horizontal. In this embodiment, the lower filter element 1203 is also arranged inclined from the horizontal. As a result, the deepest point of the filter elements 120 is formed on the right side of the lower profile set 1202, which serves as a collecting element 127, and on the right side of the lower filter element 1203. Liquids can run down from the collecting element 127 and the lower filter element 1203 on the inside of the outer wall of the filter holder 121 via this lowest point.

In Figure 5 a further embodiment of the filter unit 12 used according to the invention is shown. In particular, in Figure 5 the upper region of the filter unit 12 is shown with the filter elements 120 arranged therein. In the embodiment according to Figure 5 is the upper profile set 1201 of the upper filter element 1200 in the horizontal. The lower profile set 1202 of the upper filter unit 1200, however, has a kinked or angled shape. In this embodiment, the lower filter element 1203 also has a kinked or angled shape. As a result, deepest points of the filter elements 120 are formed on the right and left sides of the lower profile set 1202, which serves as a collecting element 127, and on the right and left sides of the lower filter element 1203. Liquids from the collecting element 127 and the lower filter element 1203 can run down the inside of the outer wall of the filter holder 121 via these deepest points.

With the present invention, a solution is created in which the fan of the extractor device can be arranged directly under the recess in the hob. The recess can be rectangular or round. The filter unit with the Filter elements, which can also be referred to as grease filters, can preferably be removed from the combination device.

According to the invention, a labyrinth of U-profiles is formed in the upper filter element through which the sucked air can flow. Fat or water can be caught in the lower U-profiles and run from there into a collecting area of the filter unit.

In addition, according to the invention, an overflow container can be provided into which liquid can flow from the collection area. The overflow container is preferably permanently mounted in the combination device and is therefore also referred to as a static container. Although the static container can preferably not be removed, it can be cleaned by hand or emptied from below via an opening.

The present invention has a number of advantages. In particular, due to the possible positioning of the fan under the recess and the alignment of the air inlet opening with the filter unit used according to the invention, only one fan may be required. This fan can be larger, rotate more slowly, and thus generate less noise. In addition, the fan can be protected by the filter unit and, if necessary, an overflow container.
